This is a bit tricky. I believe this company is practicing bad business with elderly clients. Prior to this complaint, they would call and call me to try and come out to her home to do so-called servicing requests for the products, and each time they are there, they come back with multiple issues costing an extreme amount that is never covered by these said warranties she has with this company. Last year, they came out to service her osmosis water purifier and called me stating she had some items that needed to be fixed and the costs would be around 1K. Luckily she had them call me and I said no way. Then after talking to the rep for about 30 minutes he got the price down to ****** if I wanted to proceed to let him no. I requested a manager to reach out on several occasions in the past with no response until this year. I tried to resolve this by cancelling the insurance policies, and found out she was on an installment contract that she is required to buy out at around 10K. They also stated they could settle for 8K, and my mother doesn't have that kind of money nor can manage her bills due to her dimentia. This company repeatedly would try to come out and tell us different items needed to maintenanced, and each time resulted in money needed to fix items, that we turned down It starts with my mother (*********************************) is 84 years old and lives in ************ Resort retirement community. This company came to her house to repair items and got her to sign 4 separate contracts to install a water heater, air conditioner w maintenance, and a water purifier/osmosis system. Each Contract is an installment of some sort that requires a monthly payment of around ****** per month for - I am guessing, like 20 years to pay off these totals. She had dimentia and was 80 during this time, and still had her sign multiple contracts, that her social security can barely pay. We have a 2018 aircondition that has continuous problems that we pay elsewhere.
