Long story short, my mother passed away and left me with an outstanding balance of over $**** to pay in order to restore *** services at her residence. I was told over the phone that after I paid the balance, send a death certificate, and a notarized will that services can be resumed as normal. Now that I have paid the **** and they have collected my money, they are still not allowing me to move into the residence. I am filing this because what I was told is obviously fraudulent. The ONLY reason I paid the balance was because I was told that all services could be resumed as normal when it was paid. The *** company is *********************** located in ****** *******. The law office should be liable to pay me back my money since they blatantly lied to me about what would happen after they collected the money my deceased mother owed. They took advantage of my dead mother in order to receive **** dollars. This is immensely immoral. The amount of stress cannot even come close to being made into words. I am assuming but almost positive that if they are willing to do this to me, they will definitely do it to others. Also when I spoke to another lawyer and mentioned their name, they immediately said how awful they are to work with. Companies should NOT lie and take advantage of the stress and grief of an individual in order to receive a past debt owed from them, especially when I was NEVER obliged to pay the balance anyways. This whole process is absolutely absurd
