    August 2023 I got my first DUI as everyone I did some looking around to hire a lawyer to help me with my case since it was my first and due to how it all happened I figured it would be a lot to fight. I spoke with *********** in August 2023 hired him signed the retainer after that I had been in communication with ********************* (which he is no longer with the firm) I got officially served the end of December 2023 on the summons it stated I was facing 2 felonies. I uploaded the summons onto the portal spoke with ********************* around 1/2/2024 we went over the summons and discussed what I should expect. I had court 3/5/2024 at 8:30am. Around 2/26 or 2/27 Finstern reached out stating *********** is requesting an additional $6000 to assist me with my case I told ******** he said that it was due to the type of charge and it would take more time to fight my case. ******** said he would talk to *********** and get back to me he called me back saying I can do $5500 in a lump or $2000 down and the rest in payments. I told him I don't have money to do any of that. on 2/28/2024 Finstern cancled the calendar event that was for my hearing date. I had no more further communication from the firm. I went to court on my own hoping that *********** would be present but he wasnt I was assigned a public defender. 3/6/2024 I requested an invoice for whatever "work" was done I was told same day that the invoice was requested and would be sent soon. 3/11/2024 I requested an update. 3/12/2024 *********** said he would look at it by that weekened. No further response I requested another update on 3/19/2024 same day ******** responded said *********** is almost done and would send invoice 3/21 Finstern sent another message stating *********** would send the invoice and refund as soon as he is done with trial. 3/26/2024 I requested another update no response its is now 4/24/2024 NO invoice NO refund!
