      Home Concepts contacted me about quoting work I had requested on ****'s list. I had requested are surface or possible replacement for a small shower. They made an appointment to speak with me on9/6/23 9/5/23 - After another company visited me and I understood that remodeling companies were calling me I attempted to cancel Home Concepts. I did not have a phone number for them and thought they were a company out of *********, the closest city to the property. 9/6/23 - ******* came by and convinced me to sign a contract for a new shower for $9500. Although I have had the drain replaced recently and I told her I did not need new hardware she said it would be new everything. I told her I would like the project completed by the end of September as I have to go back to work. She said she could make it a rush order. She charged my credit card for $4750. 9/8/23 - at 9am in the morning I emailed *******, the sales rep, asking her to cancel my contract. I also wrote a written statement with my signature and emailed the office with a copy of my cancellation. I went to the post office and sent the written statement via certified mail. 9/8/23 -********************* reached out to me saying he had already ordered and could not cancel the parts for the shower as it was to be installed Tuesday, 9/12. This was very surprising to me. I was under the impression rush meant they would be planning to have materials ready for the end of the month. He said I was subject to a re-stocking fee. My card was refunded only $1615, leaving $3135 unrefunded. Additionally, I did not sign any agreement to waive my 3 days "cool down".

      Beware of issues!The installation: This is where there were so many issues that I recommend you go elsewhere. They were never on time, anywhere between 15 minutes late to 2.5 hours. The integrity of the installers is questionable. The main installer gets paid a percent of the jobs so he is trying to get as many jobs done in a week as he can. The helper gets paid $*** per day whether he works 4 hours or 8. This is what they actually told me.The issues: Broke a tile in the master bath, holes, scratches, and marks on all the walls throughout the house, not just in the bathrooms where they were working, but the entire path from the garage to the bathrooms. They never checked their work from day to day. I had to point out all the holes. And I don't know if they even would have told me about the broken tile. I saw that after the first day and mentioned it. They "glued" it back to the floor.They didn't check the hardware so when I was finally able to use the shower after the waiting period, I couldn't because the tub spout diverter was defective. There were two huge scratches in the panels in one bath and again, they didn't check before they installed (the installer said it was a defect) - although with all the other mistakes, it could have happened during the install. That took 2 weeks to get fixed, and that was by a supervisor who came because the main installer didn't show up the day he was supposed to. When the installer finally came to repair the last of the holes, he wreaked of pot. The whole project was done due to leaks not aesthetics. The main installer was also hired by my landlord to repair the downstairs bathroom and kitchen ceilings. After three visits, it's still not right so we gave up. The garage and driveway are also stained from their tires.The product: For the price, you could get marble instead. As for the master tub, it's very narrow so basically smaller than the oval tub we had before. Also, the material feels cheap and it's slippery.

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we appreciate your feedback. We have made immediate changes, within our installation department, such as the employee was let go, we have more staff to do random quality walk throughs while jobs are being installed. We are sure this will keep this isolated situation from ever happening again. We sincerely apologize for your experience with us. However it was a pleasure speaking with you. We am happy that you are happy with your shower. Unfortunately, we are unable to help you with the private deal you made with the installer for side work.
