      On June 2nd, 2025 I contacted ************ to cancel my subscription. I was told it would cancel on July 15th (the end of my billing cycle) and a box to return my equipment would be sent to me (told it could take up to 25 days to receive the boxes.) Due to major health concerns, I was selling my home and moving out of state to live with family. Subsequently I went into the hospital for surgery. I was not home from July 15th thru July 26th, 2025. Upon my return, I found that DISH had not canceled my subscription, they had NOT sent out a box and they were now billing me for an additional month of service AND a EARLY TERMINATION FEE. I explained to "*****" that I had already cancelled my services 6 weeks earlier and they had not done their part in completing that cancelation or mailing a box and now I needed to move away. ***** stated there was no place to return equipment, and the box could not be expedited to ensure delivery prior to my move out and there were no other options available. I was told to return the equipment or be charged hundreds of dollars. I was also told the return shipment would be at my expense. I requested a prepaid shipping label be emailed to me so that I could go to my PO or *** and get it returned. I was told that was not an option. But then told they would send me a label, but not pre-paid. Ultimately, I had to agree to them mailing a box to my family in the other state and now I must move the equipment with me and ship it back to them from there. I was then informed that I had to pay the early termination fee as that could not be waived since they offered services across the country. Again, I explained that I was moving in with family due to health, they had all their own services and me transferring my account was not an option. After much argument, ***** agreed to a dispute for the fee, and I would receive a resolution in 5 days. The combative nature of this company to simply cancel a account is inexcusable.

      I asked to have my ************ disconnected at ********************* in *********, **. On November 30, 2021, yes 2021. They have kept billing me even though I have called them repeatedly. I also asked them to pick up their equipment before we moved, which they didnt do, so it was left at our old house.We now live in ********** and I am bedridden due to numerous strokes and cancer. My wife is 86 years old and I do not want to leave her with this mess.Maybe you can help?
