  Senior person working; no experience. Price gouging. One week prices were lower than the following week. Doubled the prices and the senior citizen working did not have knowledge of using the square app to ring customers up. Everything was bought at ****** and broken down into smaller portions and marked up twice what it was worth. No affiliation with the *******************. Did not see any type of business license posted in plain sight on any of the walls.

  Hi ****. Thank you for your feedback. We are terribly sorry to hear about your poor experience at our store. We will take appropriate steps to review, improve, and grow from this. In terms of price gouging, that is absolutely not the case. Every item in our store, we research the value of (online, local supermarkets, etc.) and strive to offer the lowest price. It is extremely difficult for a small, family-owned business to compete with big box retailers, but we have found a way to do so and proudly have offer the greatest value, in terms of quality and quantity, locally. We absolutely do not double the prices of any items on a week to week basis. Our goal is to stock items when theyre on sale, so we can then sell them at a great price. When a sale ends, but the demand for that item continues, we will keep stocking it but must raise the price for it. This happens from time to time, but it also happens conversely. If we see a sale on a popular item, we in turn lower our price to pass those savings on to the consumer.We will do a better job of ensuring that everyone working has a thorough understanding of using the **** and apologize for the lack of efficiency in using the system.Items are purchased at ****** and marked up to a fair and reasonable price, not double their value. Many satisfied customers see the great value we provide in saving on an 8 hour drive (round trip), fuel, and the chaos of shopping in the city and gladly will spend the extra money for the convenience of being able to access the high-quality and quantity of items that we offer. We totally understand that some people would rather spend the time and fuel to make the drive and get the lowest price possible. As previously stated in response to your feedback on Square, we have reached out to the chamber and are looking into becoming members, so thank you for that suggestion. Were brand new to business this year and are just honestly trying to fill a need by providing access to high-quality and large quantities of items that our area lacks options for.We are licensed and the licenses are displayed in our store in plain sight.When we spoke on the phone, I immediately refunded your purchase as requested and offered to take your phone number and provide mine so we can address your concerns and resolve this to your satisfaction, but you declined. Im sorry that your experience was short of our goal of excellence. Thank you, once again, for voicing your concerns and providing us with an opportunity to learn and grow from this.
