1 starTotal ripoff. Hidden shipping charge I was not aware of. Charge twice what I thought besides that. I thought I was getting two tapes done for $15 - now it is $15 apiece plus a $20 charge to return the media, which I do not want back. So they want to charge $50 and are threatening to charge $20 even if I do nothing and don't download the tapes. I am refusing to pay them.iMemories

1 starDo not use this company, we used this service on a very important wedding tape vhs from 1999, we asked them to recapture it to see if we can get better quality, and the second attempt was significantly worse than the first, and they stated they were unable to give me the first capture attempt. Memories gone forever as a result because of the quality issues of the second capture, due to the mold further rotting away the tape, capturing it through other companies did not help. Please do not use this if you have precious memories.iMemories

We completely understand how important and irreplaceable your wedding video is, and we deeply regret that the second capture attempt did not meet your expectations.Unfortunately, tapes affected by mold or advanced deterioration are extremely fragile, and additional processing can sometimes cause further degradation. When your tape was originally processed in June 2023, our team encountered heavy static throughout the footage due to ribbon deterioration. We uploaded the best possible capture to your account at that time.Because we know how much these memories matter, we reprocessed the tape in hopes of improving the results. Our team was able to reduce much of the static, allowing more of the video to be seen. However, the rolling videocaused by the tapes original playback conditionremained, and unfortunately could not be corrected. We understand that you also explored reprocessing with other companies, and we're very sorry to hear that they, too, were unable to recover a better version.We genuinely regret that we werent able to recover a clearer version of your tape and truly appreciate your understanding during such a difficult and emotional situation. 1 starWorst experience ever with this company. They send this big box which you have to pay $16.00 to ship back to them when I only had a *** tape I wanted to have burned onto a DVD. It took them over 2 months to finally contact me and tell me the *** tape was copyrighted so they couldnt burn it onto a DVD disk. Then they charge you to send it back to you, which took them another week to send it from their facility. I couldnt believe it took them over 2 months to even look at what was sent to them. THIS COMPANY IS SUCH A SCAM, what a waste of money. I lost money on this deal because I spent more in shipping than the actual cost of what I wanted would have cost. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!iMemories

1 starI am so upset. We sent all of our childhood photos and videos and can't download any on to our iCloud. I have tried to download it onto an android and a brand new Mac, all three are separate accounts, and nothing would successfully download. I was doing this for my elderly father and he blindly paid for the digitzation thinking he could access everything. Ultimately, to no avail, we attempted to download and reinstall and clear data 25 out of our 30 day period after paying $300 and we don't have access to any of our media. It feels like a farce and any easy way to take advantage of the older people who have less experience with "simple technology". I know we called customer service 4x as well. I'm mostly upset bc my mom has late stage Alzheimer's and this was our childhood.iMemories

1 starNo stars for imemories, They advertise to take all your media and put it online, etc. I sent 26 reels of video and got 3 minute snipits from each reel. NOT WHAT THEY ADVERTISE AND NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT I GOT!! Totally missleading and a ripoff. They lie to get your money but don't deliver. These are not snippets but the full content that was originally recorded. If you load a reel on a projector, you would watch at least 30 minutes of video! LIAR LIAR! THey are snipits in every way because they are only short 1 -2 minute videos in each icon stupid people! I watched those when we were kids!! Each reel should have a constant entire 30 minutes without stopping, not 1-2 minute SNIPITS! Stop lying when I know the truth. You advertise false intentions to innocent people who pay you alot of money and then you have the ***** to argue the truth??? Just stop and better change your ads.iMemories

1 starSent my only video tape of my grandparents to have digitized. They kept it 5 weeks and while they digitized it they overlaid soap opera sound over the videos. I complained and they said they would redo it. Never happened. Kept getting runaround. Paid for expedited service. Finally told them to send back and wanted refund. Have not got refund back. **** is in mail and currently tracking it. Bought a clear click conversion unit to do it myself. Utterly poor service from them. Dont waste your time.iMemories

After thorough research, our team discovered that your tape had been previously used to record TV shows before being recorded over with your home video. While the original TV shows were no longer visible, some of their audio remained on a separate audio channel. This is a rare occurrence. Weve only encountered it a handful of times over our 20 years in business.Once we identified the issue, we sent the tape back for reprocessing to retrieve the correct audio channel. However, since you requested the tapes return, we were unable to complete that process. If you attempt to process the tape on your own, you may run into the same audio issue. Should you decide to have it digitized again, we would be more than happy to assist you in resolving this.A refund for the digital conversion work has already been issued, and we truly regret any inconvenience this caused. 1 starMisleading Pricing iMemories advertised $14.99 to convert a VHS tape to a digital option where we can download it later for free. It didn't mention the cost to send the tapes (another $14.99) until you went through the process. Then, once they have the tapes, they reached out to ask for payment before they transferred them. Unfortunately, there is another $20.99 fee to return the two VHS tapes and there is no option to return them at a cheaper price or dispose of them and not pay the return rate. I reached out to the company and the customer service representative told me their policy is they have to return the tapes and agreed that the pricing isn't clear. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Days later, I sent another email reiterating my request to speak to a supervisor. I have heard nothing from them. At this point, my option is to get my tapes back and pay $35 for sending them there and back to not get them digitized or pay more than twice what I thought the price was on their website to get them digitized. Their pricing should be clear on the website, this is very misleading. I am still waiting for a response from the company. I would not use this company again, unless they can make their pricing more clear and make things right. I can't find anywhere on the website (even the link the customer service representative sent) a place where it says the shipping fees for the return (and the requirement that the tapes must be returned). This is extremely misleading and it seems to be misleading on purpose. I am disappointed and would not recommend this company.iMemories
