Obtained financing for Solar installation. Was misled about the true cost of the financing. Was told that the initial payment would be $291.90/month and had 18 months to pay 30% of then loan down when I received the tax rebate for the installation. They never stated that they would be adding finance charges of $3500 per month! This is obscene and predatory.Initial Complaint

Trying to figure out why they have different amounts each month of my payment going to interest and principal - some months the whole payment goes to interest and none to principle. I believed this practice is not legal - I assumed that a certain amount would go towards principal each month and some toward interest like a standard loan would act - see document to show how they are changing amounts each month. Will never get it paid with this happening - senior citizen and this is out of control. I see more complaints regarding this same thing - something needs to be done.Initial Complaint

I got solar panels installed 7/2023. I was told numerous times by the sales agent and the company that I would be saving a lot of money on energy, in addition freedom forever had a recording when your on hold that leads with how much money you will save with their solar panels. I bought them for the sole purpose of saving money on my expensive energy bills. WELL a month after I got the panels installed my energy bill INCREASED and on top of that I am now paying $265 per month for my panels. I reached out to the sales agent and freedom immediately after getting my bill. They told me the cancellation policy is 3 days after installation which is asinine!! I couldnt even tell what the panels were doing. They told me to try switching energy companies. So I did. The next month my bill was just as high and so I reached out again. I was encouraged to try another energy company. I did that and my bill was high again. This song and dance went on for a while. Then I was encouraged to wait until 13 months where they can run a report on my system to see if everything is working, I thought no way they could be working. I waited until 13 months and they came back with a report saying they are working. I have tried numerous times to cancel and freedom forever tells me I have to call Mosaic and then Mosaic will say I have to call freedom forever. I feel like Ive been bounced around and I feel completely scammed. I do not like the look of solar panels. And I only installed them for the sole purpose of saving money which I was told over and over and over again that I was going to save money. It has done the opposite, and it has added to my bills. This company is a complete scam and buyers should have full knowledge about getting involved with them. I have a record of my emails and texts to this company.I recently filed a complaint against Freedom and a representative from freedom reached out to me. she told me that freedom would have canceled my contract but mosaic has the controlInitial Complaint

Over 3 years ago, Mosaic paid Ideal Horizon called Solar Titan for an install that was not completed at my residence. Solar Titan was seized by the state of Tennessee for faulty business. Mosaic knows of this issue. The equipment is a hazard to my home due to the issues with the installation and equipment. I know this company is the finance part but they know the other party went out of business. I've called and emailed Mosaic multiple times due to these issues. At one time Mosaic had a 3rd party (Knight Solar) to come at to try to fix the problem with no resolution. That company was dealing with legal issues and will not contact my husband anymore. Mosaic will not come get the panels since they are not the installers. If someone does come get it, then ny metal roof will be destroyed due to the installation of several bolts screws, and other equipment.Initial Complaint

Payment was provided to Mosaic via check (from my bank-************************************ from my checking account for $200 and AFCU - verified Mosaic received/cashed the check on 8-2-2024.) . I have proof they have received my payment, yet I have received two or three notifications from Mosaic that they have not received payment, promotions for signing up for an auto payment plan and a notice stating they provide a 15 day ***** period before they charge the loan a late fee. I paid the payment a week before it was due and they are stating they have not received the payment (even though I have proof they have) and can charge my account with added fees (and probably interest charges) even though I am playing by the rules. This has happened one other time in the past 2 years with the Mosaic being the cause of the mistake. Never received an apology, don't even think I was reimbursed the late fee that should have never been charged at all. It would be great for Mosaic to check all avenues of where they may have misplaced/screwed up the payment they received before attacking their clients who have done everything right. The only other question I may have is "Do I need to bring in higher authorities on this matter?" Hopefully we can get this resolved fairly quickly rather then going to the extreme.Initial Complaint

During the loan assumption process I was told there would be no issues having the loan assumed. 3 potential buyers were denied the loan assumption for reasons that home loan lenders stated were inaccurate. These 3 buyers qualified for home loans and the lenders from those loans stated there is no reason they should have been denied. When calling mosaic there were unwilling to provide their qualifications for loan assumption or direct myself or the buyer to answers as to how make the loan assumption successful. Company in violation of my contract. Per the contract the loan start date is when the account is funded. However, the first payment is not due until *************************************** 3 months after the account was funded. Fund date is 12/26/2023. I began making payments in February. No where in the loan documents does it state that I will be responsible for accrued interest during this time. I've been paying this loan early to combat interest however none of my money was applied to principle until May 6, 2024. When I asked for a review of my account that is when ********************** informed me that I was responsible for interest that accrued during the beginning of the loan and prior to installation of services. My due date is the 15th of the month, I pay ACH on the 4th of the month and the majority of my payment still goes to interest. My payments are not being applied appropriately. In addition to this, I pay $200.00 each time when my bill is only $171.95. I have requested a payment review of my account in which ********************** refused. On June 10, 2024, I received a Mosaic ************ bill for solar panels. I called Mosaic and informed them that I had not contracted any ************* to install panels and that I do not have Solar panels on my house. i got a solar loan from the company about 3 years ago through Freedom forever. On 02/20/2024 i got an e mail from MOSAIC that if i paid off my loan from this that February, $599 gift card will be giving to me by them. Come 02/22/2024, the total amount of $41305.21 was paid off. And i latter found out that i even over pain. That makes them to be owing me $194 with some cents. I called them several time, where i spoke with the customer service and which they are very rude and talks to customers anyhow. They conformed that i over paid and the loan is paid off February. And they denied about the gift card. Since February to date, i did not get my refund nor the gift card promised. So this company is not a good place to get loan. And i have spoken with freedom forever to stop using them for customers loan to finance their sola projects. Will continue telling people people about them until they keep their promise.
