      This place is still passing themselves off as accredited when they are no longer. They even have the BBB sticker on the front door.

      I paid $600.00 at time of service (5-25-2023). Insurance claim (Total amount owed was $150 and should be due a refund of $450) was issued on June 15 and SMI Imaging received it on June 19. I called in June to check on the process to receive the refund and was told it would go back on my card. I called on July 26th and they told me it would take 45 business days from June 19. I called on August 24 after the 45 days and was told it would 2 more weeks. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they were in a meeting and would call me back. I called on 9-1-2023 to check on the progress and was told it would be within the next 2 weeks.

      I received a service by the provider on 2/28/2023. The front office advised I was required to make a payment of the deductible, which was $500.00. I explained that I had already met the deductible, but the insurance details have not been updated. I agreed to do a one-time payment of $100.00 in order to have the service. I come to find out later that they signed me up for a payment plan to have $100 each month taken from my bank account. After $500 had been deducted, I received notification from the insurance company stating that my claim was denied because the service provider did not acquire a pre-authorization and I would not be charged anything. For months, I have been trying to get SimonMed to refund me, but they have refused. Each month they tell me I have to wait ***** days and any monies owed would be refunded. I've spoken to the insurance company and the provider on multiple occasions, and no one will help me with getting my refund. I am truly at a loss and have more medical bills to pay.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
      They have begun processing my refund, so I expect to be able to close this complaint soon.

      Concerning their billing department I have been calling since **** 22nd 23, trying to get a refund, They overcharged me over a hundred dollars for a Diagnostic US I placed the first call on **** 22nd/23 after I received the explanation of benefits from my Insurance and I was told they did not have any response from Ins yet. Second call On July 21st/23 : I was told it was gonna take 1 or 2 weeks for the refund to appear on my account. Third call August 4th/23: I was told the refund would be done in 30 to 45 business days. Fourth call August 28th/23:This time they told I had to wait 7 to 10 businesses days, even though I had been already waiting for 46 business day. I feel like I am wasting my time with this practice trying to get my refund back. REFUND FOR OVERCHARGED SERVICE.

      On July 17, 2023 I had a diagnostic mammogram done at SimonMed and the claim was denied by my insurance. I received a bill for $923, account #******. I had the exact same procedure done in January 2023 and that time the claim was covered by my insurance. I called my insurance ******************** to asked why this time it was denied. They said that in January, SimonMed submitted the claim using an in network provider. But in July they used an out of network provider. They told me that SimonMed should resubmit the claim with a different provider. I contacted SimonMed on July 31, 2023 by email asking why they used an out of network provider and they sent my account to be reviewed. And I asked them to resubmit the claim. Today, August 31 2023 they finished reviewing my account but it has not been resolved. I still owe them $923 and they did not resubmit the claim. I chose SimonMed to have my mammogram done because they are in network with ******************* so this is obviously a mistake on their part that they need to resolve.

      SimonMed strangely refuses to compare my recent dexa results (2023) against the most recent (2021) and only compared them to 2019 which is not a medically accurate or sound comparison. I always go to SimonMed and all my prior records are there but in 2021, I went to a different location. They sited that the machine used was different and couldn't compare and uploaded the same incorrect comparison data a 2nd time. ********* is standardized. There should be NO problem comparing. The difference is significant because in 2019 I was taking bone replacement medication but in 2021, I had been on a medication holiday (taking NO bone meds). Why would the 4 yr old comparison be medically beneficially or useful to me or my doctor? The office said they were transferring me to corporate to help solve this but twice I was on the phone with no noise, no hold music, for 10 minutes each time and no one answered. When I asked to be transferred to the other Simon med office where I got the 2021 dexa to try to understand what's so different, again I was sent to a phone dead zone. *************** need an accurate medical comparison so we know if I need to go back on bone replacement medication.

      You need to tell customers UP FRONT if they are going to be in a machine that CANNOT PROVIDE COMPARISONS. What a waste of time. I always need comparisons. ALSO, my doctor caught an error in the calculation used in my results and had to call the radiologist and discovered they had factored me in as a smoker WHEN THAT WASN'T TRUE. Most times I have great result outcomes with SimonMed but this time it was a fiasco and it was AVOIDABLE. CHANGE YOUR PRACTICES AND CHECK THAT YOUR DEXA RESULTS ARE CORRECT.

      On 3/30 I had mammogram and had to pay them $175. On 4/13 I had CT scans and had to pay $350.22.Insurance paid them and then they were supposed to refund **** should have only paid $25 co-pays. My insurance has contacted them numerous times and were given excuses and hung up on. They have owed me $500.22 since April.

      July 26, 2023 I had an MRI done at the SimonMed Imaging at ****************************************************************. My copay was $150.00. A payment plan was set up for 3 payments of $50.00 due 7/26/23, second payment $50.00 due 8/26/23 and third final $50.00 payment 9/26/2023. SimonMed and I agreed to this payment plan and at that time I made a payment of $50.00 leaving a balance of $100.00 total. SimonMed printed out the agreement but there was an error on the copy stating that on 8/26/23 a $100.0 payment was due. That agreement was voided and I have that paperwork where voided is printed on the paperwork. A new agreement was printed out with two payments of $50.00 due on 8/26/23 and the balance of $50.00 due on 9/23/23, I have this paperwork. This was to be taken out of my checking account. On 8/26/************************* made two withdrawals from my account, one for $50.00, the agreed amount and another for $100.00,. The second withdrawal for $100.00 was in error.Now the total I paid was $200.00, $50.00 over the $150.00 of my co-pay.On 8/28/23 I called their accounting ***** and was told they could not help me. On 8/28/23 I went to SimonMed at **** ************** spoke with ***** the office mgr and was told she would look in to this and contact me later that day. She never contacted me.8/30/23 I went back to see ***** and was told it would take 4-6 months to look into the matter and basically there was nothing that could be done about this. I have copies of the first payment plan which has voided printed on it and the corrected second payment plan for the $50.00 agreed upon payment plan. I also have my bank statements show the withdrawals on 8/26/23 for $50.00 and $100.00. I appreciate your help on this matter.. Thank you for your assistance.***************************

      Went and saw my Neurologist early in Jan 2023. He requested that I get an MRI for my daily migraines. I called this place around 1/15/23 and spoke to a ********* took down my insurance and said they will call to get exact copays, bills, authorization and let me know how much I need to pay on my part. The day before my appointment, a rep called to say that my copay is ONLY 25 dollars and that is it!!! I was shocked and was like, "are you sure?!" and she kept re assuring me that is all I owe and my insurance would cover the rest. SO - On 1/26/23 I went to this place to get an MRI done. I paid 25 dollars as I was TOLD. Several weeks later I got a bill from them that I owed ****. Called them and my insurance to fix it. Got another bill for around 825. Called them again to fix it. Now they are saying my copay is really 800 dollars. Since i paid 25 dollars at the office, i now owe 775. Called this place 30 times over the course of 8 months to try and resolve this billing error/issue rep ******** NO ONE is willing to talk or work with me regarding the MISTAKE that these REPS made! I QUESTION THEIR INTEGRITY AND WHO THEY ARE HIRING! I WAS HIGHLY MIS-GUIDED AND MIS-INFORMED! I WOULD HAVE NEVER GONE IN IF THEY HAD CALLED THE RIGHT INSURANCE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY LATER TOLD ME THEY HAD MY OLD INSURANCE LISTED IN MY ACCOUNT?! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?!! THEY HAD TO RE ADD MY NEW INSURANCE IN. I WANT MY ACCOUNT CLEARED!!!! I DONT WANT TO PAY THESE UNEDUCATED PEOPLE WHO GAVE ME WRONG INFORMATION TO LURE US INTO GETTING SERVICES WE DID NOT WANT INITALLY. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THESE MANIPULATIVE, LYING, RUDE AND UNTALENTED PEOPLE WHO MESSED UP GREATLY AND WONT TAKE ACTION TO HELP SOLVE THIS ERROR WITH ME. CALLED THEM SO MANY TIMES TO GET HUNG UP ON, NO RETURN CALLS FROM MANAGERS, GOING IN CIRCLES WITH NO END.

      On 10/26/22 I received a "Pet Scan" from Simon Med at Desert Ridge location. I was informed by receptionist that she contacted ********** for my cost and my co-pay would be $100, which I paid. During the procedure the on-call radiologist could not get the needle in my arm and had to "discard" the tracer injection because he apparently didn't have the knowledge to do the job correctly. I had to spend over an hour here until another injection could be located and administered. On 8/11/23 "10 MONTHS AFTER THIS BOTCHED PROCEDURE" I received a bill in the mail for $1564.44. No other communication from Simon med for 10 MONTHS! I'm going to contact Dr. ******************* and research legal remedies to resolve. Beware before dealing with Simon Med as evidenced by so many prior complaints to the BBB.

      I've discussed legal optains with my som in laws attorney an d am prepared to take to civil Court. I have heard nothing from  Simon Med which is typical. If Simon Med does not respond or resolve this matter sending me a zero balance notification I will seek any legal remedies already at my disposal.
