    On February 28, 2022, I joined Iberostar ********** in ******* as a Black member and paid $44,900. At the time, I was promised numerous benefits. For the first two years, the staff made an effort to keep me happy. However, once my membership was paid in full, the experience quickly declined.Over the past year, the resort staff have become increasingly rude toward members, and the Clubs customer service representatives are often arrogant and dismissive. They show little interest in member satisfaction and instead seem focused on avoiding their contractual obligations especially when those obligations benefit members.The Club rarely honors its price match guarantee, and the promised flight reimbursements are a complete joke. I was promised $1,000 per year for the next 10 years to cover airfare for both me and my wife. For our first trip, I submitted all required documentation and eventually received a check after waiting six months. For our second trip, I submitted everything again, but after months of silence, I was told that because I didnt send a confirmation email the previous year acknowledging receipt of the first payment,I would lose this years reimbursement. That is completely dishonest and unfair. To make matters worse, the customer service team was rude and unhelpful.I was also promised complimentary room upgrades, which never happened. The rooms we stayed in were in poor condition, with bug and ant infestations. The food quality has significantly deteriorated, and the restaurant service especially at Iberostar Selection Bvaro Suites in the ****************** was extremely disappointing. One of the main reasons I purchased the membership was the price match guarantee, yet every attempt to use it has been met with excuses and ********** date, not a single promise made during the sales presentation has been fulfilled. I strongly urge anyone considering this membership to stay far away from it. Do not buy an Iberostar Club Membership it is a scam.

    We have/still am paying thousands for a dream that never existed. As a veteran who served this country with honor and integrity for over 26 years, I was seeking healing, stability, and mental clarity. Instead, we were exploited, manipulated, and misled by a company that used trust and urgency as weapons.     My name is *************************, I am a double black member of the Iberostar memberships. I am more than grateful to find this tremendous opportunity to be a member of the Iberostar since they fulfill everything they offered me. I don't know why I see those negative comments if on the contrary they are very good the opportunities they provide. The next time I travel I will upgrade to a better one.

    We were sold a dream thats now becoming a nightmare. There was so much misinformation on promises made to get us to sign up for membership. Beneficiaries attempted to use bonus points given for signing up only to be informed that we havent utilized 40% of payments yet. Now were being told the points are only for the account holders. Then 2 more calls and we were told to send an email in order for the beneficiaries to use the points That was also misinformation. We were told we could not cancel and that they could remove our card from file but then we would be subjected to collections when the payments become past due. This is a rip off. We have lost over a years worth of payments and we have not been able to book a vacation to utilize the benefits. We are willing to take the loss but not for this to affect my credit There has to be a solution and for the representatives to be properly trained to disseminate information to better assist customers

    My husband and I joined the Club and primarily wanted to continue to spend time in Cozumel and looked at it like a second home. We love the people at Iberostar Cozumel. We used our membership twice and on the second trip, my husband had a diving accident and drowned. The Club profited from us because we had paid the initial lump sum deposit and the monthly fee for more than a year -- I figure even counting the value of the benefits we received using the membership they made out with close to $7000 in profit. They, however, are continuing to come after me for the whole amount of the ten-year membership. We didn't have children so there is no beneficiary and any positive feeling I ever had for Iberostar is long gone and I'm making it my mission to let everyone know how this is just a total money-making scheme and they do not care one bit for their members. I continue to get collection notices and have spoken numerous times to member services (**** is one of the managers, who never even offered condolences) asking that they do the right thing and telling them they will never get another dime from me but they just continue their harassment and made what was the worst, most traumatic experiences of my life even worse -- who knew that was even possible! I wish they could be truly exposed. I hope **** gets fired. I will be writing to travel magazines/diving magazine etc.. to share my story. I wish there was more I could do. Wish I didn't have to give them one star, but you can't leave it blank.

    Iberostar the Club is a scam!! I recommend staying away from them. When something looks to good to be true, it usually is.

    I had a black membership and was quite satisfied. I was pressured to upgrade to the rose gold level. The next day my wife and I decided that the black membership was all that we needed and asked the representative if we could revert to the black. There was mention of possibly changing to double black, which was less of an upgrade. i said that we travel by ourselves and all we needed and want is the level black. After weeks of back and forth with the customer relations department. We were told that we signed the contract and that they would not change it to the black level which we originally had, even though we have not used any of the services provided with the rose gold membership.This service is as if the whole process is a scam. If I knew this is the customer service that ********************** provides, I would never have enrolled in the club in the first place.
