My wife and I have been contacted by Constar Financial multiple times, they fail to tell us what they are calling for in detail besides a "debt" collection. WE do not owe anyone any sort of balance outside our mortgage and auto loan payments. They have called us on multiple occasions, daily. I see this is common practice from them, as we also have not given consent to be contacted and consider this behavior harassing and intrusive. We are formally requesting that this company immediately stop all forms of contact with us. If this continues, we will consider further legal action or contact the relevant authorities regarding harassment and potential violation of telemarketing laws (e.g., Do Not Call Registry).Please assist us in resolving this issue.Business Response

Constar Financial Services, LLC has investigated the complaint and dispute a number of the allegations. Initially, our records state that we have had only one (1) oral communication with either Mr. ******** or Ms. ****** and this was a conversation with Ms. ***** on May 2, 2025. As ******** refused to identify herself, and as to protect from illegally disclosing personal information to a third party, we did not convey any information regarding the debt to her.

My wife and I have repeatedly been contacted by Constar Financial despite asking them to stop. They have called us on multiple occasions, including on [04/18/25,04/14/25, 04/10/25, 04/05/25]. We have never had any telephone communications with either of the responsible parties, and as such, never received a request to cease communication attempts with them. On 07/ 11/2024, spoke with constar about the settlement of the account for ******. I was told to wait until July and they would contact me. I spoke with customer service representative and informed Constar I having financial difficulties. Thats all I can afford. The representative refused to listen. This isn't the first time I have to have this conversation. I would like to settle for ****** as agreed. They did not send me a statement in the mail as requested for this settlement amount as agreed.Business Response

Constar Financial Services disputes the allegations made by ****************** in this complaint.I, the Chief Compliance Officer, listened to all three recordings of our contacts with ****************** (June 18, June 27, and July 11). During the June 27 call ****************** stated that she would not have the $191 to make the offered settlement until July. Our representative told her that any settlement offer is only good for the month offered, and that she would need to call back in July for any available settlement offer. She was not told that the $191 settlement offer would be available in July. When she called back on July 11, she was told that the client would honor the settlement if it were paid today, and that she understood that failure to place a downpayment on the offer in June, negated the offer.Customer Answer

I explained to representative, I would have the money in July. As someone will be giving me the money to pay in July. It appears I was being harassed to pay a bill the same day, when the company knows I didn't have the funds at that moment. I was willing to pay 191 when I receive the funds to pay for the month of July so the matter could be settled.

Returned my leased vehicle on time a month early back in August 2023 to centereach ******** Leased another vehicle through them and have been getting letters stating I have never returned the original car. I have repeatedly called them and have gone down to the dealership. They say they grounded the vehicle. However I had a tow truck driver come to my residence looking for it, and my credit score has gone down, I am receiving letters from collections now. On March 28th, My Ally account was sent to ******************** Ally for collections I called and asked for a pay to delete option and they told me I could pay $534 so I did that day. It is may 19 and my account still shows delinquentBusiness Response
