            Advertising Review
            On December 8, 2022, BBB requested Zenernet LLC to modify, substantiate or discontinue claims made on their website (https://zenernet.com) that read: "Installation guaranteed within 60 days..*Terms and conditions apply", "Highly Rated and Recognized By..Forbes & CNet". Additionally, on the company's LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/zenernet) it reads: "..backed up with the strongest warranties in the industry.." Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.

            BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 Basic Principals of the Code requires that advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. Section 20.5 Warranties of Guarantees of the Code states that sellers or manufacturers should advertise that a product or service is warranted or guaranteed only if the seller or manufacturer promptly and fully performs its obligations under the warranty or guarantee. Additionally, BBB's Code of Advertising Section 29.1 Subjective Puffery Claims of the Code states expressions of opinion or personal evaluation of the intangible qualities of a product or service are likely to be considered puffery. Such claims are not subject to the test of truth and accuracy and would not need substantiation. In addition, Section 29.2 Subjective Puffery Claims of the Code states puffery may include statements such as “best food in the world” and “we try harder” as well as other individual opinions, statements of corporate pride, exaggerations, blustering and boasting statements upon which no reasonable buyer would be justified in relying. Puffery also includes general claims of superiority over comparable products that are so vague that it can be understood as nothing more than a mere expression of opinion.

            In December 2022, BBB investigated Zenernet LLC's business practices. This investigation was prompted by consumer inquiries received by the BBB. Customers alleged through their reports to the BBB that the business may not be completing projects or fulfilling the upon-agreed services but they were still being charged monthly payments. Some consumers also reported that they were unable to get a hold of the company and that the business did not return calls or messages sent to them.

            On December 8, 2022, BBB sent a letter to Zenernet LLC asking the business to address and provide the following to BBB's concerns: 1. An explanation of the current process and installation timeframe provided to consumers, and a copy of a sample contract. 2. A copy of the current cancellation and refund policy. 3. How consumers can contact the business for an update.

            BBB did not receive a response. On December 14, 2022, and December 20, 2022, BBB also attempted to contact the company by phone and email but the company did not return BBB’s inquiries.

            As of January 5, 2023, the business has not responded to BBB's request. 

            Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records, but may also wish to contact their local Attorney General's Office, and/or file a claim with the Small Claims Court. Consumers affected by the closure of this business may also contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and Contractors State License Board to learn more about the industry and file a complaint.
