5 starsSolar Topps is by far the best solar company I have ever worked with. I have worked with solar companies in ******* and ********** and Solar Topps are head and shoulders above the rest.I had an issue with my system going down on a Friday evening and contacted them on Saturday and the Owner was at my house that afternoon and got the issue corrected.They also repaired the damage that the solar company I had used when I first put solar on my new house. 5 starsSolar Topps came to my rescue! I was on a waitlist for a Tesla Powerwall from another company for 4 months. So I reached out to Solar Topps. They responded quickly and had what I needed in stock! They accommodated my teaching schedule and **** came out 2 weeks later to install my battery. **** also found an electrical issue with my electric car charger that could have caused a fire. I owe more more than gratitude for **** and his unwavering diligence in his job! I highly recommend Solar Topps and will use them again when I am ready to expand my solar and battery needs!Review fromTodd

My husband support since he got an error to his enphase app for our solar panels. Support tild him what to check but it was not still resolve. Hence, he was directed to solar topps support we was told to pay $149 for a technician to come in and check and this company said that it it's their fault they will refund the $149. On that request for payment there was an instruction to check thr breaker and so my husband did but it was still not working and the light in the breaker was not on. So he did call solar Topps again, we paid the $149 nad technician came. Then they said that the breaker wasn't on the proper place and we were laughing because clearly they didn't know that we actually know what is going on. My husband is an electrical engineer and knows the in and out of how solar panels and electrics works. They called and said that it has been fixed and I sadi are you going to refund me the payment and the *** said no. So I told him you know what that was your error and not us so I hang up the phone. I left a review on their website 5 minutes later the same *** called and said that they will try to refund if I will put down my review and I said no I am not going to because that is reality and people should know that. So to those who are planning to get their solar panel services please do not. This company is a rip off and cannot be trusted. They thought we have no idea about solar panels and reality is they change battery on the breakers and they do not want to refund even if it is their fault.Solar Topps

DECEPTIVE / INACCURATE REVIEW: ******** agreed to and paid trip charges in advance knowing that it would be assessed if the issue on site was not related to our workmanship, which it was not. Every attempt was made to assist customer via remote troubleshooting but they were unable to perform the tasks requested. Due to their request for someone to immediately come on-site, we visited the site the same day and resolved their concern. After our quick, professional response, ******** began arguing against having to have paid for the time, labor and expertise of our site technician to get their system operating again.FACTS: Customer has had their system activated since May 2020. Since this time, their system has been performing at 116% of expectations! Customer has not had any issues on site since our installation, except for an instance where some microinverters that were not reporting, which was resolved in less than 24 hours. Customer has done a great job of monitoring their system and informed us of a system-related issue on September 9. Customer was immediately sent an email on how to troubleshoot the issue, which are very basic steps that anyone, especially a non-technical individual, can take. Customer was unable to perform these steps. Therefore, we asked the Customer to send us some photos that would allow us to review the site issues and hopefully troubleshoot remotely. Once again, customer was unable to assist, and requested that we immediately come on site to assess the issue.Customer was informed, acknowledged and paid our trip charge which is assessed for systems that fall outside of a particular timeframe from installation, which this Customer's did, and are refunded if the issue on site is related to our workmanship, which in this case it was not. This nominal charge is necessary in order to pay for the time and labor expenses incurred in rolling our truck on site, which we take every effort to minimize best we can. Once we performed our site visit, turned on the monitoring breaker (which was in the off position), and got the Customer's system up and running they began arguing that they should not have had to pay for the site visit because the issue was a "simple" fix. The site visit, which is only assessed once, is not related to the complexity of the issue, but rather the fact that a service trip is being made. All service industries have this as a standard practice and in this instance, the Customer was fully aware of what we were doing and why we were doing it. The fact that they argued with us after we performed our work and felt the need to leave a negative review speaks volumes of their character.Customer is acting wantonly and recklessly making such libelous statements. They claim that we are lying when in fact we have been nothing but honest and transparent. Customer is more concerned with ruining our reputation than the fact that their system has performed excellently since turned on and that our resolution to their issue was both prompt and professional.Review fromSteve R

They were able to provide us a handful of options with knowledgeable guidance that ultimately led us to the best decision for our home and situation. From signing to install, it only took 32 days. 5 starsSolar Topps and I communicated via text and emails during the entire process of ordering, contract signing, inspections and permit approvals. Responses to anything I asked was within a few hours, thorough and easy to understand!**** (6-year employee) arrived on schedule and within 2 days, installed the battery backup system showing at every step that he was professional, very methodical, and personally cared deeply for my installation and property. His performance assures me that everyone at Solar Topps is devoted to seeing that I have the best experience and installation.I feel treated as if I were the owner and not just a customer.Review fromDaniel C

Damage to Roof from Residential Solar Panel Installation:If we could give a zero star, we would. Were in the process of filing a lawsuit against Solar Topps. *******************, owner of Solar Topps told us to go ahead and file the lawsuit because he wont fix the damages that his installers have done. During my Solar installation, his installers damage the roof of my house. We notified them right away. The salesperson told us he would take care of it. Fast forward, we never got our roof fixed. We had a huge leak in the house during a rainstorm. So we contacted the company. The salesperson said we were supposed to send the owner an estimate of the costs, but he lied about it and never told us. Now were asking the company to fix their damage, they wont, telling us to go somewhere else. Two different roofing companies verified that the leak on our roof was caused by negligence. We have lots of pictures of gaping holes on our roof.Solar Topps

100% fake, misleading review. This is not a Solar Topps customer. They are a SunPower customer. They have a monthly lease through SunPower. We installed their system, on behalf of ********, in 2014. If theres any issue with our installation it would have been identified several years ago, by ********. Nonetheless, we instructed this individual to contact ******** to address any of their concerns. The individual refused to go through the proper channels and continued to harass our company and employees, stating multiple times that they would file a lawsuit against us and write a negative review. This individual is free to do what they want, but in order to abide by the terms of their agreement, which there is none between us and the individual, they have to go through SunPower. The individual refused to understand this and continued repeating the same nonsensical threat multiple times. At the end of the day, we stand behind our work. Once the facts, which we have not been made privy to despite this individuals outlandish claims, are submitted to SunPower, they will advise the best course of action; its their system after all. We cannot work on any system without their prior written authorization. Hopefully, the customer will now understand they need to call ************** and inform them of any concerns they have.Review fromERNIE T
