We have a technician arriving at your house on 7/15/2025 to inspect the roof and repair, if necessary, at no cost. All warranties will be honored. This is been communicated to the customer.

Id like to respond to the On Point reply to my complaint.

    1. Overall I am very happy with the crew sent out. They were very thorough in their search for root cause.
    2. The problem was not with the roof penetration caused by mounting the solar panels. It was close by and difficult to troubleshoot.
    3. They showed me pictures of the suspected cause and promised a report would be sent. So far I have not seen a report. But I was able to pass enough information to the roofer that he found the suspected spot and patched it.
    4. I know everyone is busy, but getting the roofer and solar installation techs together to troubleshoot would have solved this problem way sooner. Fortunately there hasnt been much rain here in ******** this summer.
    5. The next major rain will verify the leak has been fixed. I feel good this will be the case.

In February of this year I signed an agreement with On Point solar to install a battery in an existing solar system. I paid an initial $2,000 deposit with the company and was scheduled to have the battery installed the following month. When the came to have the installation start, I was notified by On Point that there were supply issues and that the installation would occur a couple of weeks. After three weeks I contacted On Point about the installation. Ive gotten nothing but the run around since. Ive been trying to either get them to do the installation or refund my money. The company no longer answers the phone. They instead request emailing them, which I do, to which they do not respond.Ive texted my **** requesting a refund numerous times, only to receive no response to my query.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/30/2025

Thank you for reaching out and for your continued patience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience youve experienced in trying to get clear communication and resolution regarding your battery installation.
We did receive your initial request to cancel the project, and we deeply regret that it was not acknowledged promptly. While our internal team did send a message to project management to begin processing your cancellation, this critical step was unfortunately not communicated back to you. We take full responsibility for that lapse, and we apologize sincerely.
Regarding the battery itself, the supply chain for ******** batteries was abruptly impacted by new tariffs and logistical issues that were unannounced and occurred shortly after your order was placed. These disruptions were particularly severe for the older version of the ******** battery you required. At the time of sale, we were unaware these challenges would arise, and we should have done a better job keeping you informed as the situation developed.
Despite these issues, we fully recognize that we have not met your expectations for service or responsiveness. We are now processing your refund for the $2,000 deposit. Please note that refunds typically take between 1 to 3 weeks to finalize.
We truly appreciate your patience and apologize again for the experience youve had. If you have any further concerns or questions, please dont hesitate to reply to this email, and we will ensure a team member follows up with you directly.

I got solar a few years ago. ***** was my sales person. From day one I told him I wasnt paying 2 bills. He promised I wouldnt have an electric bill. Ive been paying both since. I would reach out and he would say to give it time. It got to the point he stopped responding. Eventually I reached out to the office and spoke to ****** who conned me into the battery who also promised me this will eliminate the aps bill. For months we r supposedly waiting for an inspection. Well the first time they installed the panels, they moved my outlet on the side of the house. I had a security light plugged in and a sand pump that wasnt plugged in. Wen they got done and I got off work I notice they unplugged my security light and now it doesnt reach the outlet but plugged in the sand pump which wasnt hooked up cause it wasnt pool season. So the pump was running dry all day. When I called all they did was offer an extension cord. This time they installed the battery I have holes all over my house. They claim they will fix it after the inspection but no follow up as up when the inspection will be. I feel like they lie to customers to get them to sign up just so they get paid. Worst decision I made was getting solar

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We understand your frustration, and we want to assure you that we are fully committed to completing your project to your satisfaction.

Our team has been actively communicating with you throughout the process. We acknowledge that there have been unforeseen delays due to the city and utilitys unfamiliarity with the new EG4 battery, which we introduced to better meet your needs. While this has required additional revisions and approvals, we are currently awaiting final approval from the utility so we can proceed.

Regarding the stucco repairs, our standard process is to complete all necessary repairs after the project receives PTO (Permission to Operate), as there could be additional changes required during the final stages. Rest assured, these repairs are a priority, and we will ensure they are completed properly.

We understand your frustration with your initial expectations regarding your electric bill. While solar significantly reduces energy costs, factors such as system size, energy usage, and utility policies can impact whether a customer still receives a bill. We strive to provide clear and accurate information, and we regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred.

We remain fully committed to seeing your project through and will continue to keep you updated on the next steps. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please dont hesitate to reach out.

Additional solar panels were added to my system along with a FranklinWH battery. Due to the amount of time my existing system was down (because they couldn't get back out immediately), I was offered but never received the amount of my first loan payment.I ordered a system that would optimize my solar power and after a long set of conversations with **********, the battery manufacturer, two things were found to be deficient in the system, 1. the system plans call for Smart Circuits to be installed yet they aren't in the system, 2. the split CT was completely left off the system.I've attempted to work with the company, but my local office contact (*****, **) went silent and it's been over a week since the company said they'd get back to me with a response.

Thank you for reaching out and for your patience as we work through these issues. We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication and lack of follow-up from our Hurst, ** office.
Regarding your system, we understand the frustration caused by the delay and the missing components. As noted, additional solar panels were installed along with the FranklinWH battery, but the Smart Circuits and the split CT were not included, which is not in line with the system plans. We also acknowledge that you were offered compensation for your first loan payment, but it hasn't been processed yet.
We have escalated your case to our service team and are actively working on a resolution. Rest assured, we are prioritizing this and will be in touch with a detailed update on the installation and the missing components shortly.
In the meantime, if you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this matter directly, please feel free to contact our office. We appreciate your patience and are committed to ensuring your system is optimized as promised.

About 1 month ago my inverter went out again, 2nd time in as many years, since then I have received nothing but lies and excuses on why it hasn't been replaced yet.i was assured multiple times that it would be replaced today 9/2/24. Now one has shown up or bothered to call. I have a 25year warranty and can't get it fixed.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/05/2024

    Dear Mr. *******,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced regarding your inverter replacement. We understand the importance of having your system functioning properly, especially given that this is the second issue in recent years. Please know that your concerns are being taken seriously, and we are committed to rectifying this situation as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, due to an unexpected labor shortage, we faced some delays that impacted our ability to meet the originally scheduled replacement date. We deeply regret any confusion or miscommunication that may have occurred during this time. However, we want to assure you that we are actively working on your warranty claim, and we fully expect the inverter to be repaired or replaced by the end of next week.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we are confident that we will have this resolved to your satisfaction shortly. Should you have any further questions or concerns in the meantime, please dont hesitate to reach out to us directly.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, we apologize for the delay

On Point Solar Power ****************************************************************************************************** My mother had solar panels installed on her home in May of 2002.Tucson Electric Power (TEP) BEFORE solar panels installed:June 2020 - May 2021 average TEP was $98.30 June 2021 - May 2022 average TEP was $72.07 The first year with solar panels:June 2022 - May 2023 average TEP was $47.04 and Good Leap (finance outfit for solar) monthly payment was $43.46 Putting her total electric at $90.52 Second year with solar panels:June 2023 - May 2024 average TEP was $92.70 and Good Leap went from $43.46 for the first four months to $116.93 for the remaining eight. They increased her monthly payment by 170%. This was never brought up before hand, so to say the least, this was unexpected.I would like to know the starting total, months to pay off and interest rate for the first 18 months and after increase. I did some digging on Good Leaps website and found that this policy is indeed in there. But an increase of 170% seems very high. Good Leap payment is now more than her electric bill was before solar panels. So her TEP (with solar panels) was $92.70, putting in the pre solar panel range. But now her average electric with Good Leap was $185.14.Clearly the solar panels are not working, seems something in the system is causing a huge power draw.On Point Solar Power techs have come to her home. Her June 2024 *************** was $108.67, panels not working. Now her July bill for TEP came in at $248.89. This is aboslutely insane. This is FIVE times her first year TEP average with solar panels. This is a monthly rate for her electricity of $365.89 for one month with Good Leap added in.My mom is 93 years old and on a fixed income (social security) and this has a major effect on her budget. She wants the panels removed. She just cant afford this.***************************

In the month of May 2024, I reached out to On-point solar requesting information on if there was a away for me to monitor my power production.A young lady, named ******* was kind enough to set me up with their app and assited me in installing/setting up the application.Once installed she said "That's weird, it shows that you aren't producing any power. That's OK though, sometimes the system takes 24 hours to register and update. Call back if the app still isn't registering power production." I waited a couple of days with no change and called back. ******* said that she would schedule a technician to come out in a couple weeks. The technician showed up the next day. They climbed on the roof did something and told me that my system should be working now and that it wasn't hooked up correctly. This was concerning because I got the system in Oct. 2021. I asked the technicians if the system ever worked, and he said probably not. I immediately called On-point solar and inquired if the system ever had worked. I was put in touch with an IT person who requested my power bills so he could look into it further. I was informed that my system was NEVER working. I asked what next steps would be to remedy the situation and he said he would discuss with his boss "tomorrow." Long story shorter, 2 months went by with no resolution. I finally called and asked for the next person in the chain of authority. That person was on vacation, so I asked for the next step in authority and was contacted by the **** ******. I let him know what was going on and he agreed that this was a peculiar circumstance and shouldn't have happened. I would have to wait however until, *****, the project manager returned from vacation. ***** did contact me and advised that the restitution would only cover 6 months of no production. I told him that does not work as we are going on 3 1/2 years of no service. He said he would get back to me.There has been no follow up or resolution.

The business promised that the electricity bill wound be reduced. That has not happened. They promised to install a new A/C unit included in the price of the contract. That has not happened. When they came to install the solar panels they removed concrete from the side of my home and have never came back to fix/finish the job. Someone could get really hurt because they removed concrete and left a gaping hole. They kept promising things which never happened. This contract was signed in 2022 and they have not met their obligations.

I got solar with Onpoint Solar (June 2023) who hired Solar experts to go out and get business for them. ***** from Solar experts was the one sold me Solar for Onpoint solar. The agreement was that ***** (Solar experts) would pay the first 12 month payments. I received last August 2023, September 2023 and October 2023 payment from *****. At that point payments stopped coming in. I attempted to call, text and email *****. No response. I received an email on 12/03/2023 that Solar Experts was going out of business and a resolution would happen in a few months. I have called and texted, emailed many times and no response. I have called OnPoint Solar so many times I lost track, I have not gotten a resolution in this matter. I called On point Solar today and I still was given the same response wich is they are still trying to get in touch with Solar expert. I asked for the owner's name and contact info for On point Solar, She would not give it to me. I feel that Onpoint Solar hired Solar expert. I pay Onpoint Solar. They need to make this right. Many customers of ************************ are going through the same issue. I just found out that Solar Expert is now called 1958 Power. Number given was ***** - ************, *** - ************. ***** will not answer his phone or return a call. I will attempt to call ***.
