am filing this complaint regarding ***********************************, managed by Bryten ******************** My unit has been uninhabitable for over two months due to an unresolved infestation, specifically carpet beetles, which were confirmed by a pest control professional.Despite providing a medical letter from my childs neurologist citing the need for urgent relocation due to his disability (autism and possible seizures), Bryten has not provided any suitable accommodations or a firm move-in date for the new unit. I also have a medical condition (cancer), which makes this situation even more urgent. We have not stayed in the apartment at all during the entire month of July, and no refund or housing assistance has been offered during this time, despite repeated communication. Ive been told to sign off on a unit with a tentative move-in date, but the complexs online portal lists a different date. This ongoing lack of clarity and shifting information continues to displace my family.I also never received the pest control report from the company Bryten hired, and I have had to arrange for an independent inspection to determine the nature and severity of the infestation.I am seeking either:To be released from my lease without penalty,or To be provided with immediate housing accommodations while waiting for the new unit.Additionally, I am requesting a full refund for the month of July, since I have not been able to occupy my apartment at all due to health and safety concerns. This experience has caused emotional and physical distress for both me and my son, and I hope the BBB can support accountability in this situation.

This company has an apartment complex in ***************** at ******** . They took $300 admin fees that states they will refund the money if you do not get the apartment. Calling and getting someone on the phone has been very hard and they have yet to refund my money.

I applied for a 1-bedroom apartment on March 21, 2025. I paid $85 application fee and $200 fee to hold an apartment. To date I have not received move in information from them. I would like the $200 fee refunded to me ASAP!

My partner and I rented here for almost a year and. a half and put a good chunk down for a deposit. After moving out now being told that ****** (property manager) that we broke things that never existed to start, saying we didnt move out the items we were supposed to which is a complete lie. Only sent us half our deposit back because of the above and wont contact me back, and said a legal team was supposed to contact me which has yet to happen over the last 3 months. Super ticked tried getting a hold of Bryten and there subordinates and yet to get any sort of contact. DO NOT STAY AT THESE APARTMENTS

was no transparency when I signed the lease. every time I dealt with *********, she had to ask profuse questions to the manager becauseshe didnt know her job. property was filthy. oil everywhere and the movers tracked it into my house. was pigeon feathers and p*** all over, which is so unhealthy The windows had screens on them from when the property was built, and the windows were never cleaned There was a disabled kid over me, making hellacious noise, scaring me to death in the middle of the night, banging on the floor One day, someone in the middle of the night came by and banged on my bedroom window I asked about how much the water would be and ********* didnt know and would not be transparent. There was one water meter for three apartments and they charged me 100 a month and I didnt even take a shower. I washed in the sink. I had paper plates and plastic knives. I didnt even wash dishes and they charge me 100 a month for water. It was only me and a cat and the people above me had five people paying only 200 a month so its not fair ********* never knew how to calculate anything and always made errors I signed a lease without realizing full disclosure and now they have a credit collector after me because I broke a lease The home area was unlivable dirty, and there was no peace with a kid making awful noise over my head in the middle of the night They tell me they wanna ruin my credit rating, but I dont need a credit rating, but I want to show you the reputation that theyhave They got at least ****************************************************************************************************** water bills for water I never used I even paid for water bills when I didnt even live there I never lived where you have 1 meter for three or four units and you overcharge me for water. Im paying for other peoples water. With all of the factors I mentioned, I was totally disgusted and felt robbed, and I didnt want to live there

My wife and I rented an apartment and moved out on 10/25/2024. Our unit number was 506 at their property at ****************************************. We were not initially given our legally entitled 30 day deposit back. I had to call, email, and consult a lawyer on how to get our deposit back, as well as deliver a demand letter. I finally got in contact with someone at corporate. We received our check two weeks ago (75 days LATE). We are still trying to receive money owed by their referral program. It is a program that when I was a resident, would compensate a resident if they helped answer potential residents questions. If the person ended up moving in, we would get a referral Amount in a **** Virtual giftcard. I have only received $50 of my total $87 owed. The manager has now stopped taking my calls and emails. I have emails as early as October 2024 asking about this and only get told they are looking into it.

I have lived in ******************** for almost 2 years now and have had issues with my water/sewer bill that is billed through a third-party vendor (Conservice) since 6/15/2024. I have had to report the issue every single month when my monthly rent statement comes out. The property management company has not be assisting in a proper manner and has added late charges onto my account and currently even have an eviction notice even though I have reported the issue every single month and have been told to only pay the actual cost of my rent and around what my water bill should be. I've had multiple bucket tests done, had plumbers come out, had meter replaced twice, had battery replaced, and I continue to have problems. Now the complex is completely unresponsive. I tried to reach out to the corporate office as well, and no one has returned my outreach. This is causing so much stress and anxiety. I'm a single mom and I do not pay bills late. I have had to chase them down to get my bills paid on time without having to pay outrageous amounts for usage that I have not used. I have all the documentation to show this outreach.

Lived at the **************************** for 2 and a half years. We first moved in ti a broken sink with a hole in it, made a maintenance report, sealed the sink with the promise of a new one because the granite counter had been cracked and the sink needed to be replaced, was never replace. Stove broke, alerted maintenance, was told they could fix it, never did. Apartment flooded due to faulty plumbing under sink, lots of water damage done, never fully fixed. Kitchen drawer broke, alerted maintenance, the drawer got glued back together. Broke lease due to financial struggles, which we understood we would be responsible for, but the complex is now claiming that we are responsible for all water damage they said we wouldnt be responsible for at the time of damage, responsible for broken appliances and counter top that I reported to maintenance that was never fixed while living there, responsible for poorly fixed things like the drawer and door frames and baseboards damaged by water, that were fixed by the complex maintenance, resulting in thousands of dollars in repairs, even though these things were all reported to maintenance and the office while living there. Im not disputing the broken lease or the fees that come with that, but the fact that these things were never funded or replaced before we moved in or while living there and now the complex is trying to make us take responsibility for things that were broken or faulty when moving in and were alerted to while living there. Tried retrieving maintenance reports that we sent to them but no longer have access. Also charging for utilities that were paid for in August

We pay an additional $130 for a tech package every month. The internet has been down three days in my apartment. I called on the third day ( because they are closed the other two, it was the weekend) and talked to ****. He said that they 'may have someone come look at it'. I asked if I paid for my own provider could I have the tech package taken off my rent. The policy is that it cannot be taken off. I asked for a corporate number- he said they didn't have one. His manager Tierra, did follow up with me quickly. I found her to be very combative. I asked her to let me voice my concerns- she said I was able to email them, ad eventually hung up on me when I asked her for the third time to let me finish my statement. I again asked for the tech package to be removed, part of it to be removed from my bill since we do not have internet and they did not seem to think it was an urgent matter. I asked her about notes on my account because I have had an issue before with internet and she told me ' there have been complaints about you and I see back in 2019 you had issues with insufficient funds'..... thanks? I understand I annoyed her and she wanted to make a snarky comment to 'put me in my place'..... but I still need to have internet to do my job and my homework as I am in a Master's program and they won't take no internet as an excuse. She eventually gave me a corporate number, that was, in her words ' very easy to look up'......thanks? She assured me that no one in corporate could help me, it would just come back to her. If anyone could listen to our conversation, as conversations are taped, I would appreciate it. We spoke at approximately 1020 AM, ******* time on December 10th, 2024.

I really need some assistance. My name is ***** ********, and I currently live in the ******** at *********************. I signed a lease while seeing a virtual tour this complex provided me as I was moving from a different state. When I arrived, the apartment looked nothing like it. It was old and rusted, and clearly had just been painted over. When I walked in the oven was on, and it reeked of paint. The apartment was disgustingly dirty, black floors that left your feet black within a few steps, counters clearly covered in stuff, items from the previous tenant, and a long list of things broken. All of this was fixable, until one day I began to find cockroaches. After taking forever to hear from the complex after reporting this, pest control supposedly came, but I was not present and they did not tell me which day they came. I was emailed a Work Order Complete e-mail, but never specified for what it entailed (I did not put in a work order). A month later and now Im finding baby cockroaches. After the pest control came, I did see dead spiders and dead worms. Gross. I spoke with other tenants and it seems in some apartments, cockroaches are pretty common. And it is also pretty common for not much to be done about it, and certainly nothing to actually put an end to this issue. This apartment is uninhabitable. I have allergies that are worsening just being in here. I dread coming home. I want to leave this apartment as I cannot afford to hire exterminators, I have already spent so much on a lot of cleaning supplies for what shouldve been a fresh apartment, and ***** traps. The items I found belonging to the previous tenant included ***** repellent and ant repellent, which leads me to believe this is a common theme. I have pictures of a lot of these issues, and lots of written documentation. Please, if you can be of any help, I would really appreciate it. I cant live like this until the lease is up. Thank you.
