We had a termite system installed. We paid $1,800 over the span of a year. We were told that at the end of the payment plan we would own the system and that there was an optional $300 for an annual insurance plan. Now moxie is demanding the $300 and saying theyre going to remove our $1,800 system if we dont pay. I spoke to a manager and asked him to investigate how the miscommunication happened and he admitted that instead of a person informing me that Im supposed to pay the $300 every year or else I lose the $1800 system. They sent me an automated message that we never opened because I didnt know I needed to. So we were never notified that the system was going to be removed until they started threatening to remove it.

Firstly, we have pest control which the salesman was informed of. My wife was lied to by a moxie salesman about needing a card on file, and a signature (for something she was not informed about), to "reserve our spot". After telling him to talk to me at 10am 06/06/2025 about even staring service, he never showed up. Yet they went ahead and sprayed my house and charged me. Now I have to deal with the cancelation process which involves 250$ to cancel or ride out the years long contract they never explained, costing over 700$. Terrible way to conduct business by lying and praying on people who have trust in strangers, who only want to pinch money out of anyone they can.

Good Afternoon. We have been trying to reach you via phone for the past few days to get more information to start an internal investigation. This is not typically an issue we've dealt with in, however we take your feedback very seriously and would like to right the situation for you. Although we were not at the door with your wife when the information was reviewed, we take transparency very seriously and send out the information regarding services, length of contract, and cancellation terms immediately via SMS and email to ensure we are all on the same page. It does sound as if there was a miscommunication on our end, and we want to do right by you. We have refunded the $149 as requested, and are happy to continue with you non-contractually for service and prove our worth and commitment to you and your home, or we can close out your account without penalty and part ways. Please let us know which would serve your needs best, and we will make it happen for you. Again, this complaint is unusual however its taken incredibly seriously and we've opened an internal investigation with the representative whom your wife initially spoke with. Thank you so much for your time.

Moxies employee told us we were getting free termite TREATMENT if we signed up for a monthly contract for pest control. Has not done so and moxie will not do the services that were verbally and written through text messages from their employee. We signed a contract under those pretenses and have paid our dues

Our ********** Manager called and spoke with the customer (Kieth *********). A former employee of Moxie Pest Control who is also a family member to this customer gave misinformation that the employee could do Termite treatment for free (against company policy). We called and spoke with ***** and apologized, reviewed options, and offered a coupon of $50 towards general pest control for the issues that had caused them, and offered to do a heavily discounted Termite treatment for them. The customer agreed to this, and we have the office reaching out to set up a free inspection and provide a quote for them. We apologize about the misinformation given by this former employee and are happy we were able to get this resolved!

We in good faith asked for cockroach problem to be addressed at our address. Guy showed up and did a mock spray of our house ...no roaches were killed ...in fact none were killed as the guy really waved his sprayer like a magic wand in the air ... I saw nothing coming out of the nozzle....he left in a matter of less than five minutes. We still have roaches...so thank you Moxie....owner is not available to contact. .They state they want customer satisfaction and feedback to make me a happier customer... but haven't provided either. Since the treatment I've killed at least 10 1.5 inch roaches... disgusting....

Today I spoke with Mr. ****** ***, I offered to waive the open invoice of $289 and come out to do a full treatment plan of 3 free services to get the ***** issue under control. Mr. ****** *** did not want us returning for free service. I also offered to waive the $289 open invoice and have us pay for it, having him owe nothing, Mr ****** *** accepted this. We have waived the $289 open invoice on our end, and there are $0.00 in outstanding charges. Please note, pest control always takes time, any company that tells you roaches will be gone in a few visits is not telling the truth. With our ***** clean out services (typically upwards of $500) that we provide for free, they are guaranteed to get rid of the issue after a few visits. If Do-I-t-Yourself pest control or another company doesn't work out, please contact us and I will honor my promise of 3 free ***** specialized services on us.We warranty our service because we guarantee to resolve the issue, however it will always take time. We'd love to help out again in the future if you give us a chance to earn back your business. Thank you again for speaking with me today, and best of luck on your construction! Happy Holidays!

Moxie tells you everything you want to hear then doesnt produce even half of it. From the first service I had with them they have fallen short. Ive been trying to cancel my service but they just give you the run around. Had them call me at 455pm and when I answered the phone they hung up on me but immediately texted me that they called and left a message which was a lie. So for the last 3-4 months Ive noticed that they either dont spray at all or they do a half a** job. I tell them every time to have there tech call me or knock on the door before they enter my yard because I have a mastiff and he will do his job when someone he doesnt know enters my domicile. Not one time did they ever call me or knock. Luckily the dog was inside. Have a rat box that never gets service, and I know this because Ive placed things strategically to see if they even moved it which they definitely did not. Requested them to spray the inside multiple times and not once did they do it. And when they do spray the bag yard theyre in and out in less than 5 minutes. And weve been noticing an abundance of spiders and scorpions and other pests. This company runs on lies and deceit and its a wonder how they are still in business. All I want them to do is cancel my account. Theyre not getting another dime out of me. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for pest control.

Upon full review of the account ew have seen notes of interactions between our Field Experts and a woman at the property for any interior services (garage, etc). The first treatment interior was declined by the person present for service, and we do have notes of specific activity noted in and around the rodent bait boxes, which have been checked and refilled each visit since 09/15/24 when the box was first placed on the property. Please note our Field Experts have the bait on hand tracked each day to ensure the amount placed is accurate. These are the only notes of customer interactions, none are noted with the account owner *****, only with a woman at the property. We apologize if this miscommunication has caused any frustrations and are always happy to add special scheduling instructions per the customers wishes (specific days, times, time frames on each appointment, etc). We would be happy to refund the last paid invoice of $53.01 paid on 4/1/24, and in addition request the opportunity to prove how effective services can be when we know the best days/times to arrive for the customer. We can set this up easily should the customer wish to allow us this opportunity, and will waive the cost of the next service in full should you allow us this opportunity. Currently, the account has been taken over by the Manager and if the customer declines us this opportunity, we will close out the account for them. Please let us know.

Moxie pest control is a terrible company who is deceiving their customers. A sales guy approached my disabled U.S. Veteran husband while he was in the garage about their promotional pest service. When I entered the conversation they told me I would be signing for a quarterly service that included regular pest sprays and termite control. They told me we could cancel any time. We were initially satisfied with a few sprays until we began seeing more and more live bugs in the house. We informed one of the techs the next time they were out about a poisonous centipede found in my daughter's bedroom and though he stated he would "definitely take care of that" we found 2 more in the next month. We then came to find out the termites were not included and they were quoting us thousands of dollars to treat. When I called to cancel I was given "**** the account manager" (who wouldn't tell me his last name) and he was horribly condescending. He spoke down to me/ belittled me and informed me "there was nothing I could do" to avoid paying them $200 to cancel which we never agreed to but he states I signed for when we signed up. This is tricking the customer and deceiving a veteran with learning disabilities. I signed an iPad with such small text but the salesman "had discussed everything in life there" yeah right! **** "the account manager" refused to give me his manager or work with me to resolve the issue, **** you're a f*cking pr*ck. I refuse to pay $200 to cancel crappy service. I will have my bank dispute the charge that they placed the second I hung up on him.

We apologize for any frustrations you have regarding the spider activity. Looking through the account, we do have a signed service agreement on file stating an agreement to an initial period of 12 months. We do our best to be as transparent as possible with all of our new customers, the service agreement is only one page with big bold letters in many areas including right above the signature box stating this is a 12 month agreement. We send this out via *** and Email to the customer upon signing up so there is time to review prior to the first service. The *** sent also states immediately in it to please review terms of "service agreement including length and terms of early cancellation". Looking through the account the email with the service agreement sent on 2/20/23 was opened more than once and viewed. For pest activity we do warranty our work and offer unlimited free warranty treatments upon request, of which none were used in the time of the account being active. In addition, there are no notes in any appointments of communication from the customer on seeing any unusual pest activity around the home. We greatly rely on our customers to communicate if they are seeing anything, so we can come out free of charge and take care of the issue, as many times as needed. We did offer this to the customer, and the offer was declined. We would love to go an alternate route and address your pest issues head on. If you will accept, we would like to offer a free re-service to prove our commitment to helping keep your home pest-free. In regards to termite services, they are a separate treatment with separate licensing and products. In the account it is noted on 06/15/23 the customer spoke with a Field Expert and asked for a free termite inspection, to which we provided one - free of charge. Please let us know if you'll accept a free warranty re-service or if you have alternate options to come to a peaceful resolution.

I was using Moxie for my pest management and in April of 2022, I emailed them after their visit that month to cancel my service. I emailed them again in July when they sent a notification that they were about to visit my home. I again told them to cancel the service and not enter my property. They still went on my property without permission. I canceled my credit card so they could not charge me in August. They have been sending me harassing emails demanding I pay them for a service I canceled and did not want. Please contact them and tell them to stop harassing me and not to try and place a charge against me.

    Business Response

We have reviewed the account in full and found that we had been trying to reach out to you in regards to your request to close services, via call, text message, and email. This process happened in July after the appointment had already been completed, with no response regarding the request, and then again in September. After having sent texts, emails, and called numerous times - we closed the account due to non-contact. The account is currently closed, however the balance from the last service performed (July 21st, 2021) is still open on the account as the service was performed prior to the customer requesting to cancel services. No other invoices or services exist on the account. As a gesture of good faith, we would however be happy to coupon half the cost of the last service we did (totaling in $69.50). This would leave your account with a remaining balance of $69.50 for the full ***************** we performed in July of this year. We hope you will be able to meet us in the middle, and would be happy to set up a payment arrangement as well if that is helpful. Thank you kindly.

I told them I am a Servicemember station in ***** and my US phone did not work, which is why I did not call them I told them in multiple emails (one of which I attached to you) before July when they entered my property without permission to cancel my service. I am not paying them and I will never pay them. If their next response is not that there is no balance and they will never contact me again I will be filing a police report for trespassing.

    Business Response

We have reviewed the account in full and were able to see that the original request for closure was a phone call in, to which we called, texted, and emailed 5 times for each over the course of two weeks, with the emails and messages being opened but not responded to. This action was repeated again, with no contact back until an email, we reached out via email a number of times to get the account settled and was unable to make contact over the course of close to two months. On October 11th, 2022 we closed the account due to non-contact and the account is now closed. The balance on the account for the last service performed at the home will remain on the account, however we will turn off notifications and it will remain internal. We do not use collections services or report to credit, so all that the balance will do is remain internal on your account, so in the event you call in for service in the future it will be owed prior to the start of any future services. We hope this transparency puts you at ease. Thank you.
