I was misled by a sales representative from Synergy Payment Solutions into signing up for a merchant services package. I was told the new setup would reduce my credit card processing fees from 2.9% to 1.5% with no monthly fees and no changes to my current workflow (which uses Jobber). After signup, I learned I was placed under a 4-year contract and began receiving unexpected charges from both ********** (FDMS) and *************. The integration did work technically but altered how I run my business, something I explicitly said I would not accept. I was also told that Synergy makes its money by tacking on 0.5% no mention was made of recurring charges or third-party billing.I attempted to resolve this through Synergy but received no meaningful support. I want out of this deceptive arrangement and a full refund of any charges.

I was using Atrium Bancard / Synergy Payment solutions as my credit card processor. The sales *** called and said they switched merchant service processors from ******* to a new one. And they wanted to move my account. I was sent a docusign for new equipment. In the docusign, it states that they would "use my current application on file to move my MPA (Merchant Process Account) to a different processing bank." My account was not moved, but instead they just created an additional account. When I called *******, the original processor, they told me that I was still under contract and my services could not be moved. Since ******** I've been having to pay for both processing accounts as well as the new leased equipment. I've tried to contact Synergy but they will not escalate my problem. The finance office says I cannot cancel my lease because I'm under contract. The same contract that they did not complete. So I'm stuck. I've been calling to try and take care of it since February with no luck. So I'm here for help to resolve my problem.

This company sent me POS equipment knowing I do not have a storefront and now Im being told its $3900 to cancel the lease agreement I never (truly) agreed to. I was given the iPad for signatures/initials after being verbally told what I was signing and that I would have copies emailed to me which has never occurred. I need this lease subscription cancelled without penalty.

On January 24 2025 **** ******* of Synergy Payment Solutions came to my business to offer a better rate on credit card processing. He looked at my current charges and said his company could cut my fees by about half. He then offered a free terminal with no contract and said I could cancel at any time. He then asked me to sign his iPad that I agreed to everything we talked about. As he scrolled down the iPad for signatures, amounts were pre filled in for device and contract charges and he removed them as we scrolled. I signed the bottom of the contract. The next day I checked the reviews on Yelp and BBB and there were countless reviews about Synergy Payment Solutions scamming people. I called **** and canceled my service. **** said he would cancel my service and it wasnt an issue since he didnt send out equipment yet.January 28th, I started getting emails that my account was set up and there would be a monthly charge for the device. My account was set up with Signapay as the processor and ********** for the equipment loan. I also noticed that the equipment load was not for the discussed equipment. The load was for a Dejavoo QD2 ($200 on Amazon). The lease was a 4 year lease totaling $3,984. I was able to quickly cancel my account with Signapay but ********** would not cancel my lease.Between the dates of January 28th and April 22nd I have talked with **** personally and through text and he continues to tell me he is either working on canceling my lease or that it has been cancelled. As of today my lease is still active. I have also talked with ********** almost every week. They had me fill out two fraud complaints that have been denied. I have also not been able to get a supervisor on the phone from **********. I have been told supervisors are too busy to take phone calls and that they would call me back. I have yet to receive a phone call from a supervisor. I also have a recorded conversation between **** and myself stating our agreement (too big to attach).

Synergy Payment Solutions neglected to tell me about an $89 annual fee, and a $15/month fee. When I tried to cancel the service, I found out that I was under a ************************************************************** the lengthy service agreement that I signed.I either want out of the contract, or want the disputed charges removed for the duration of the contract (15x48)+(89x4).
