1 starWas looking to purchase a 2025 Kia Sportage SX Prestige. Had several negotiations back and forth via email with Jacob. I schedule an appointment for 3 PM and instead I was given someone else. I have an appointment at 3 pm and the car I was looking at was not ready. Had to wait for them to get the car ready. Yes I understand Jacob had another customer before me go over but I was given a sales rep who disregarded any negotiations Jacob and I had. By 4:04, I was able to speak to Jacob and the price he quoted me increased by 2K. I absolutely hate humans who go against what they say especially when they have it on writing. Funny how yesterday the manager was willing to go low and potentially lower but today no. Okay cool. I would highly recommend not bringing your business to this trash of a dealership! If you want trash service and to pay above what they originally quoted you, please bring your money to Camelback Kia in Phoenix. If you want sales reps who don't listen, come to Camelback Kia. If you want your time wasted and you agree to one price and the price goes up when you arrive by 2K, come on down to Camelback Kia. If you want a dealership who lies to you, come on down to the worse trash dealership in all of Arizona.
Please know many businesses can pay to take down negative reviews. I have no issue reposting this review.Review fromKetina H

1 starCAMELBACK *** IS A JOKE AND THEY HAVE ZERO CUSTOMER ******* SKILLS!! They left my Kia **** with tons of scratches all over it after my first time taking it in for a Zaktek application. I paid over $1100 for the Zaktek when I initially purchased my vehicle from them and per the contract I can only take it to the dealership I purchased it from. This really ****** me off because they left my car with damage and made absolutely no attempt to do anything about it!! They actually were very rude and just pretended it never happened. I never want to take my vehicle to them again, especially when something like this happens on my first service visit. Now I'm screwed out of the over $1100 I paid for the Zaktek and whatever it costs to have the scratches fixed!! Things like this are why they have such low ratings. They'll continue to have even lower ratings if they keep s******* people over. It's just bad business and absolutely terrible customer service. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY after they make a mistake and don't care to attempt to make things right. They are a total ripoff so I advise everyone to stay away from their shady service department. You will end up requiring additional service after you take your vehicle into them for service. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED TO STAY AWAY FROM CAMELBACK *** ******* DEPARTMENT!!Review fromMike C

1 starI purchased a vehicle from camelback Hyundai one and a half months ago. I should have know at that time there would be issues as I got my car home and realized when the service department put new tires on the car the used the wrong lug nuts to attach the tires. I had to spend money getting lug nuts replaced. Now my car after being driven awhile is stalling out on me and does not start until its sitting awhile and cools off. First time this happened I had no idea what was going on and had it towed to my mechanic. He suggested I take this to a ****** dealership ( its a 2016 maxima). I live in ******** so I took this to ******* ****** and they pulled the code and gave me a seven thousand dollar repair estimate. Unfortunately they did not accept my map warranty. I made my appointment for camelback Hyundai for Saturday may 25th. I HAD to work a few days before taking it in and each day near my destination it stalled out. On the Friday before I too it in it took me two hours to get home from 3 miles away. I brought it in Saturday and it stalled out entering the parking lot . I gave **** my paperwork from ****** dealership and got my ride home. I heard nothing until I called them Wednesday. They were still looking into it and would call that night or first thing in the morning. Neither happened. I called Friday and as told nothing is wrong with the car and I would have to deal with it. Keep in mind I have a warranty. I was refused a loaner car until they were able to figure this out. So apparently I need to worry every morning before I go to work if I will make it to work, I have to worry if I will make it home. I can not run any errands as extra driving make the odds of stalling go up. I bought a lemon from camelback Hyundai and was shown no remorse concern for my job that is paying for this car and now have to look into hiring a lawyer as an added expense. All I want is a dependable car to get me to work and back and this is what I am stuck with.Camelback Hyundai Kia

We test drove ************************** vehicle multiple times and performed a diagnostic scan and were unable to find any error codes, or duplicate any of the customer's concerns. His MPP warranty covers a rental car only in the even there is a claim. Since we were unable to find anything wrong with the vehicle, the rental car would not be covered.Review fromPaulette D

1 starDon't trust this place. They tamper with your cars so you end up paying for repairs caused by them. On January 03rd 2024 I took my car in due to a recall. However shortly after leaving and driving back home on the highway, my car began to drive very poorly. It would not exceed any ******************************************************************************************************* to press down hard on the gas pedal. This was a problem that had already been fixed by my mechanic. Somehow camelback hyundai kia undid the repairs.Review fromWilfredo M

1 starNever again! Worst experience I ever had. Typical bait and switch with harassment sales tactics. Stay away!I walked in with my own financing from my credit union. The finance guy was adamant he can beat my credit union so I gave him the opportunity to do so. I took possession under that condition; that they provide me financing and terms better than my credit union and a conditional delivery agreement was signed. 10 days later I received a text from the finance guy who says they can not offer the financing at the terms we negotiated. The only options he gave me are 1.) I can obtain my own financing or 2.) get financed through the dealership but the dealership now wants 3 interest points higher than what was originally discussed. By this time, my credit unions financing was no longer an option and I was not going to agree to the higher interest rate. I dropped the car off that night and told the finance guy I was will not move forward with the transaction and I am no longer interested in doing business with Camelback **** I started to get harassed by the finance guy via text message after I left the dealership and I was threatened to be taken into collections if I dont pay for the mileage I put on the car. Then the sales guy, after 930pm, started to text me and claimed someone is going to lose their job over this deal if I dont buy the car. This dealer is in the ***************************** group and ************************* stands on reputation. This dealership tarnished that reputation for this location and every location associated.Camelback Hyundai Kia

Management has read this complaint and we have addressed these issues with our staff. We sincerely apologize to ******************** that he had a terrible experience with us. We dropped the ball on this car deal, and we are using this situation to train management and finance managers. We were able to match the original financing terms that ******************** had originally received from his own credit union, but at this point ******************** wanted to return the car, and we completely understand that.Review fromElisah M

1 starWill Not Be Returning For ANY Service! Part 1 I travel for work and initially werent in from recommendation of my hometown Hyundai Dealership to have my driver power seat fixed. I went for this service 1/11/2024 and was set for this appt by Service Manager, as I was told, ****. Meeting **** he seemed be very concerned and wanted to help with my tight schedule. The appt was set @ 9:30am and would be set for pick up at 1pm. During this appt, I was under the impression there would be a diagnostic along with the actual service of getting the seat complete. It was very helpful he offered to provide me a Lyft to go home and come back, however I needed to provide my own way back which I agreed to. Being in a different state pregnant, alone, with no vehicle, I contacted him directly 15 mins after each hour to be sure it was okay to return back to pick up what I thought would be a completed service. I was told my car was ready at 3:20pm. I took a Lyft back there to be told there had to be a part ordered and would need 3 days to be retrieved, along with almost $400 payment for that part. I reluctantly agreed because I was in desperate need again with my tight time frame. I was also given a diagnosis with a Engine Valve Gasket replacement and other minor work originally. The next day, 1/12/24; I drove my car about 10 miles before seeing smoke come through my ac vents, car stalling, jerking & engine light on. Id purchased my car back in July 2020 and never had my engine light come on and also kept in great condition. I let **** know I would need it drivable within the next few days and to disregard fixing the power seat as this was now a minor issue opposed to a working car. I returned after my work trip, where my car was left sitting, 1/18/24 and was now given a new diagnosis that included now a $1500 increase due to a Tune Up being needed. What changed in a matter of hours? I explained I was not going to pay that because my car was not in that condition when I brought it.Review fromCarlos V

1 starSTAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER.I bought a CERTIFIED USED Hyundai Sonata at over $20k. I made an amateur mistake as it's been a while since I got a used car and didn't inspect the exterior.I got home and was showing it to my family and noticed a CRACK on the rear driver side bumper fascia from the taillight almost to the bottom. Went back to tell them as this would have been a deal breaker and their response was that they knew about it and "had priced it accordingly" yet somehow they forgot to tell me about it. There is also a scuff on the right rear behind the tire.I was happy about the car and changed insurance, cancelled extended warranty on trade-in, and ordered some accessories otherwise I WOULD HAVE RETURNED THE **** It is going to cost almost 2K to have it repaired and they couldn't even split 1/2 the cost of the repair. Definitely NOT going back to them for service since they have shown they cannot be trusted!!!On top of that, I immediately made an appointment for a musty/moldy smell coming from the air vents plus the wireless charging not working. At the appointment, and I have been at the dealership about 5 hours waiting, they wanted to CHARGE ME TO FIX THIS! If there is mold/mildew or a fungus growing in the ventilation system it is a HEALTH HAZARD and should be taken care of prior to selling the vehicle. Also, the *** price for a similar vehicle with no damage is between $100 less up to $2K more than what I paid which means they did NOT adjust the price for the 2K bumper damage as they stated during my questioning of why I wasnt made aware of said damage, and apparently the salesman wasnt informed either as he was visibly upset when I showed him.Camelback Hyundai Kia

Used vehicles occasionally have cosmetic damage and are priced accordingly. Our customer's have every opportunity to inspect our vehicles inside and out before they agree to purchase. We have tried several times to call the customer to address his other concerns. As of today, 1/30/24 we have not received a response. Please contact *****************, sales manager, at your earliest convenience.Review fromAndrew M

1 starWorst car dealership in *******. Owner should be aware of the terrible character this place has. Called on a Friday late afternoon and told them I would be in Saturday morning to see a used car they had online. He sent me pictures of it and said he would hold it. Next morning I get there and the typical bait and switch. Said they just sold that car 10 minutes ago. Fast forward to today, My son saw a car online for a good price called and they said you won't guess it but we just sold it. They advertise cars online they don't have to bait you in. Terrible service. When I was there dealing with my issue, I went in to the managers area to hear an employee sales man, who didn't know I was a customer behind him, say "this stupid s*** out there." referring to another customer. This place is a joke. Stay far away.Camelback Hyundai Kia

Customer set an appointment to come in over the weekend. Days later when the customer came in for their appointment the vehicle had sold. This is very common, especially in today's environment on vehicle shortages. Unfortunately, we can't hold vehicles for customer's, and it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. We do not conduct business via bait-and-switch. There are some minimal timing issues on when the vehicles displayed online come off the website. Usually it's immediate, but it's all electronic, and there can be delays if system issues don't work properly. Thank you for your feedback regarding hearing an employee speak inappropriately about a customer. That is unacceptable, and will be dealt with immediately.Review fromEdgar G

1 starLatinos friends, do not go to buy any vehicle in the Camelback Hyundai. Here are some thieves on Friday, July 14, I wanted to go buy a car and the sticker said $34,000 and they wanted to sell it to me for $51,000. They are thieves, especially manager or salesperson ******* and his fellow managers. ******* told me I have a great deal for you and that was a great STEAL.Camelback Hyundai Kia

We are uncertain where **************** is coming up with $51,000. We have the paperwork from 7/14/2023 that was presented to ****************. Selling price of the vehicle was $34,145, less a $1,500 rebate, plus dealer adds of $2,170 (of which $1,124 is removable), sales tax of $2,924.54 plus doc fee/license fees $1,181.50 for a total of $38,921.04. **************** is welcome to contact us to re-look at these numbers.Review fromBrigid M

1 starAs I see the rating is as dismal as the service I received on 05 16 2023 they have dropped the ball and won't be going back as soon as I get my car back after almost 8 hours now 319pm . I will find a local mechanic that can do better!Camelback Hyundai Kia
