    I contracted with Cross Country Movers to move from ********** to *******. I worked with **** there. We gave him accurate items of what we were moving. There was a little deviation where we did delete and add items. When the movers arrived at our home we were shocked that they had brokered it out to Express *** Lines. When they did the inventory they said that Cross Country Movers did not have the correct sizes and items listed. I have attached the binding estimate from Cross Country Movers. Express *** Lines charged me $1400 more than the binding estimate. I called Cross Country Movers as this was not what we agreed to. I talked with **** and he didn't know what to say. I filed a complaint with the BBB in ******* where Cross Country Movers is located. Their response to the BBB was that they didn't do the move and Express *** Lines did and they are the company that charged me more. I cannot attach the invoice from Express *** Lines as the file is to big. Their total came to $5886.37. If you need a copy I can email it to you. This is completely unreasonable. I can understand it being within a few hundred dollars but this was outrageous. The man who did the inventory said it was pretty right on but that Cross Country Movers put the wrong size on the dressers and the sofas. Cross Country Movers is putting this on Express *** Lines. I am not going to go round in Circles. I had a binding estimate and this should not have cost us $1400 more than agreed per the contract. Either Express *** Lines or Cross Country Movers needs to give us a refund. You can contact the better business bureau in *******. I let them know I was not satisfied with thar resolution.
