If I could give a negative I would!
The Money Source currently holds our VA loan.
We’ve had a similar issue as Christy B!
During COVID our primary source of income decreased drastically. We reached out before our mortgage was even late to let them know. We were told we couldn’t get any assistance until we were going into foreclosure status. Inevitably the time came and they suggested forebearance and once the forebearance was satisfied we could refinance.
Fast forward a year and with the decline in the economy we decided to sell our home. We find a buyer who would like to assume our current mortgage. We were told in November they had all the paperwork needed. We don’t hear anything. As the closing date nears we’re told the mortgage must be current. Ok. $4500 and they need a paper submitted. Done. Get ready to close again and we’re told The Money Source no longer does loan assumptions. Our paperwork was completed in November! The buyer even received their paperwork.
This has put us in a financial bind. We are in a legally binding contract to sell the home and now The Money Source has put us off so long that we may potentially be facing legal issues.

The 7th of December they took out my mortgage payment TWICE, after being on the line for more than an hour with multiple people, I was told we would need to send PROOF they took the charge out twice since it did not show in their system, they then told me a screen shot from my bank was not acceptable, leading me to getting my bank involved to send over statements, it is now the 29th of December and they still have not sent back the amount they stole from us. Not only is this incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, as humans its absolutely devastating that a company like this can do this to families and people who are struggling and not take accountability and not making the mistake an issue. Its absolutely appalling how they have handled this especially right at holiday seasons.

Friendly, but very incompetent! I was told not once, not twice, but THREE times that my daughter's loan was assumable. We wasted countless hours sending in documentation and on the phone with TMS in an effort to assume her loan, only to be given the run-around and ultimately told that her loan did not qualify. We were told the email stating it was not assumable was an error, and to resubmit our documents. Of course, we were told this verbally, and have no recourse. Do not waste your time with this lender. The staff is not trained to answer the phone! One star for friendly - but incompetency earns this company a bad review! Train your staff!

There was very little hold time, until representative, *******, connected with me. ******* was very friendly and professional. He spoke clearly and handled my requests promptly. I was very impressed.

This company could give a **** about its clients. My husband was having trouble paying on the app so he called customer service. The representative made it clear that he was all set and that his payment was completed for October and was not recurring (that's how it was showing up on his end). 5 days later on the 1st of the month, a recurring payment was taken. She either lied or doesn't have a clue what she's doing. When he called back and spoke to the second representative she laughed it off... "Haha well, at least you've paid next month's payment already." Could you afford to front $4800 in five days?? Unbelievably unprofessional. Lastly, he spoke to a supervisor (after a long hold time). She said her name was ******* (90% sure). When asked what her last name was she stated "last initial *." You can't be transparent about who you are when you work for a company. Cool. She continued to tell him all the hoops he would have to jump through in order to get his $2400 back -paperwork from the bank - investigation - review - write a check - send out. This process would take weeks!I can see why this business is not a BBB-accredited company. What a shame.Moral of the story - Don't get yourself in a position where you'll need their help.

This company is the hardest to work with. We would make an online payment when we had the money in the account and they would take there dear time taking it out like 3 days later. This happened a few times with overdrafts now they want us to pay extra for a certified check every time we pay. When you call them you cant understand what they are saying because it sounds like a call center and you can hear everyone else in the background.

TMS has been falsely reporting their customer scores on their website ever since I was a customer. If their ****** score is 4.4, their Trustpilot score is 3.5, and their BBB score is ****, can someone please tell me how they are showing a combined average of 4.9 on their website? Could it be that someone is changing the **** code to remove negative reviews and inflate the overall score? (Yes, that is exactly what is happening.)BBB- There's no way that is legal, right? Can a business really falsely represent their customer scores and get away with it? Where's the enforcement on this?
