BBB requested the business provide background information, clarification regarding the nature of its business and information regarding possible affiliates, however, this information was not provided. As a result the BBB may not have current information about the business.

On September 19, 2016, BBB requested BFG World Wide, LLC to substantiate or modify the description of services advertised on their website which includes "search engine optimization".

According to BBB Code of Advertising 19, “No advertisement should be published unless it is a bona fide offer to sell the advertised product or service. An advertiser must not create a false impression about the product or service being offered in order to lay the foundation for a later “switch” to other, more expensive products or services, or products or services of a lesser quality at the same price. Subsequent full disclosure by the advertiser of all other facts about the advertised product does not preclude the existence of a bait scheme.”

BBB has been informed that after consumers pay for website creation/affiliate marketing facilitation services, they are frequently contacted by a partnered third party service provider offering search engine optimization and other promotional services that consumers believed they would be receiving from BFG World Wide, LLC. They frequently state that these services cost three to four times as much as what they originally paid for their website and are told by BFG partners that they will not succeed without making the additional investment. 

BBB requested BFG World Wide, LLC to substantiate the offer to sell this service by providing clarification as to whom receives BFG World Wide’s search optimization services as well as a description of the more popular packages that they do offer. In addition, BBB asked the following questions; 
1. Are consumers made aware that if they do not purchase these services from BFG World Wide, LLC that they will be contacted by business partners?
2. Does BFG World Wide, LLC disclose the necessity of this service before allowing consumers to purchase basic website creation packages?

If they were unable to provide substantiation, BBB requested that the business modify or discontinue this ad and any future ads like it to adhere to the BBB Code of Advertising. The business has not responded to BBB advertising concerns.
