    I am filing a complaint against Sun Devil Shutters for not returning my deposit of $1,890 which I requested because of their failure to deliver the window shutters that I purchased from themHere is the timeline of my interaction with Sun Devil Shutters:April 17, 2025- ***** from Sun Devil Shutters measured my windows for shutter installation. We agreed on total price of $3,779 with a delivery date of 5-6 weeks. ***** asked for a deposit of $1,890 which I paid by check. June 4, 2025- Sun Devil Shutters confirmed this date for the shutters installation, yet on this day, I was informed that they will not be able to deliver because the installers got in an accident. June 18, 2025-. Sun Devil Shutters confirmed this date for delivery . Yet on this day, I was told that the shutters were not ready because it has to be returned for reprocessing because of some defect with the frame. June 26, 2025 Sun Devil Shutters confirmed this date for delivery. Yet on this day, I received a call from *** who identified himself as one of the owners, that the frames will not be delivered because it has to be returned for repairs again. I told *** that I wanted to cancel the order because of their unreliability on 3 different times. I informed *** that in all these dates that they have called to confirm that the shutters will be delivered, I took the days off from work, and that I have no more window coverings because I had removed the blinds in preparation for their shutter installation. *** guaranteed 100% that it will be delivered before the end of the following week (July 5, 2025). I agreed to give them one last chance.July 3, 2025- I called *** who stated that he still cannot guarantee a date that it will be delivered. I asked *** to cancel my order and to return my deposit back. I told *** that I needed the money back by July 10, 2025. *** confirmed that I will be getting my check.July 13, 2025- I have not received my check as requested.

    I paid them the deposit of $745 on April 12. I was told it would be 5-6 weeks for the door to be installed from that date. Based on that May 24th is when it should have been delivered and installed. We were told there was a delay and it would be 8 weeks. Well 8 weeks passed and no door. Finally on June 27 the door was suppose to be installed except they made the door wrong for the opening and put silver instead of black hardware on. They said it would be 2 weeks *** to get the door back which would have been July 11th. I got a text on July 1st saying they would reach out to me in 2 business days. They did not. On July 16th (5 days after the promised delivery) they sent me a text saying my door was in production again. I called and spoke to the manager and requested $215 off the door for the inconvenience and to pay me back for my unpayed work day that was wasted do to the s**** up. He told me no, his product is too good for that discount and said the door would be delivered August 3 (almost a month after new promised date.) no delivery August 3, no discount either. 2 months since the door should have been originally delivered which is 4 months since order and no door and no communication.

    ******, I first want to apologize for the delays.  This is not standard practice for us as a company.  You were scheduled for 8/3, we missed the installation.  We should have had better communication throughout this process.  Thank you for letting us get the barndoor installed today.  We hope that you guys enjoy the new look in your bedroom, bathroom.

    06/22/2024 $3160 We were sold a product by the man that came and gave us the free quote that we did not receive. We had to wait 8 weeks for our shutters to come in and this installation job actually looks like a joke. Damaged shutters, uneven install, gaps between the shutters and the walls, and they damaged our drywall. The installers were on their cellphone almost the entire time, kept going in and out of my house and leaving the door open in 100 degree weather, and did not care about anything we pointed out to them that was wrong and told us the company would contact us. When we contacted them immediately ******** told us someone would come out in another TWO WEEKS to inspect the issues. No apology for the experience or inconvenience. When I said that was unacceptable and I needed to speak to an owner or manager immediately she stated no one was available until next week. Weve been robbed of over $3000 and based on Angelicas reaction to our concerns it does not appear resolution is going to occur. It does not appear they are concerned with the quality or lack thereof of the product and installation we paid for and they are also not offering to repair the drywall they damaged which will cost upwards of $300 to repair as well.

    Paid $8,280.00 for shutters to be installed. Upon initial installation many problems were evident and brought to the company's attention. Ten percent of the slats had cracks and many of the slates did not open or close completely. It was also brought to the company's attention that many of the shutters were damaged. Some shutters were sized incorrectly and were not installed. This company is using inferior materials. Do not be influenced by their lifetime warranty, buyer beware! Still waiting...

    We will be happy to schedule an uninstall and issue a full refund for everything the customer doesn't want. The wood used is kilned dried and usually is very stable, but as it is a natural product, it can have flaws here and there, which we strive to eliminate. Please contact our office at your convenience to schedule uninstall and the installers will have cashier's check with them.

     Met with the owner of the company on Sept. 13 at 3:00 pm. He agreed the shutters needed to be fixed. Company called me on
    Sept.15 to schedule an appointment. Their earliest appointment was Sept.21 which I accepted. If the company can't fix the shutters
    they said they would offer a refund. I would appreciate it if the complaint #******** would remain open till the issue is resolved.
