every time I requested to know when the estimated time for the van would be completed I received a text telling me the owner had to be consulted. I waited 2 months the first time for a reply and received none. I made this request 4 times giving 2 weeks time with the same results. I was told in place of the $5k refund I would get a heater, 2 seatbelts. Seatbelts were not installed. I was told the builders just make things look pretty and do not have the skill to install simple handles. 5k paint job is not quality. They painted over the original paint with no protective clear coat. There are spots all over that show the original paint underneath. I went to a car wash and got white scratches from the paint coming off. They did some paint touch up that still left the original paint exposed. Insulation can be improved on. 88 degrees outside. Sitting in the sun the van outside reaches 165 degrees outside. Inside the van the wood panel sides and roof have a variety of temps 88 degrees all the way up to 103 degrees in many areas. With the van reaching the 90s inside space. I wont be able to be in my van in the summer. I was told the ****** brand of thermal insulation could only be installed in strips. Ive seen plenty of van builds where that statement is false.I was charged for the large wheel base and I have a 136 wheel base. I was charged for a hitch and I provided the hitch and was told I would not be charged. I was charged for an extra cabinet that I was told my van was too small to install. The owner saw this and did not acknowledge. When I went to pick up the van they didnt have the ladder installed. There is no back splash for the stove. I was told I would have something better than a curtain to separate the cabin from the back and nothing was installed. The wood was not sanded in many places. My take away is $59k **** build with a decent heater, electric system when the inverter is cooled down by opening the bench seat, ac., stove and fridge. Never again

This company is terrible to their employees. A young, dedicated, hardworking man was working for another company. This company reached out to recruit and were pushing him to work for them. He finally moved forward and took the position with Tommy Camper Vans and Adventure Trucks. Terminated a young man on his own supporting himself. A day before the holiday. Building him up, telling him what a great employee, hes doing great, they could ask for a better employee for this company. The owner goes on vacation and leaves the firing to the manager. Then Oh by the way you are fired. No reason given why they let him go. He has been raised to be professional and respectful. Shook the managers hand, thanked them for the opportunity and left. Why terminate good employees that work hard for the company? He produced and was exceeding their expectations. You can get this product from other manufacturers and dealers. This company should be ******* how they treat their employees. I investigated and worked in HR for years. Not much can get past me. There is more to this company than its pretty pictures on this website. This isnt the first time employees have been treated poorly. Wrongfully terminated - scapegoating is wrong.
