I rented here from 3/2012 through 9/2022. I paid all rent due on time for over 6 years totaling more than $100k. When I moved out they sent me a bill for additional fees that I do not owe! $50 for a key that I did turn in - I rented a storage space for approximately 2 weeks after I moved out. The storage unit required the community key to access. The leasing agent said to turn both the storage unit key and community key in when I emptied the storage unit. Which I did - in addition the missing key fee is $10 per the lease agreement. So they are charging me more than the agreed upon amount for a key that was turned in. Also charging approximately $30 in additional rent - I paid all rent due through the portal and last time I had access to the portal I had a rent credit not balance due. I asked for an accounting of exactly why there is an additional amount due with no response. I do not owe additional rent. Also charging approximately $100 for cleaning fees. I did a walkthrough with their representative who said the apartment looked beautiful and better than most turn ins especially after 6.5 years. In addition I paid over $200 to their preferred apartment cleaners Tidy Casa to clean the apartment after I moved out. I asked for details on why additional cleaning was required and nothing was provided. I have now been notified by my credit alerts that 2 different collection agencies are reporting a collection for Pavilions on Central. I do not owe this company any money and this needs to be removed as soon as possible.

BEWARE I leased an apartment here for my son who was attending college in the Phoenix area. The lease was for eleven months with an agreed move out date of May 31, 2022. Evidently the lease agreement requires a 60 day move-out notice which I and my son were not aware of. The lease agreement was provided and signed electronically. I never received a paper copy or saved a pdf copy of the agreement. I never read that pavilions required a 60 day move-out notice. Pavilions charged me a penalty for not giving them 60 days notice and charged extra rent for those days which totaled more than $570 (They also require that you have and show proof that the apartment is professionally cleaned and that the carpet is professionally cleaned if it needs it or not). I informed management that my son would be moving out on the agreed date and requested they waive the extra charges which they denied. I find it coincidental that management contacted my son to ask if he was planning to move out 50 days prior to May 31. This is when they informed us that they required a 60 day notice and that they would be charging us for not telling them earlier. I believe this requirement and others that pavilions have are draconian and are being used to take advantage of renters.BEWARE

    Pavilions On Central Apartments Response

    07/01/2022

Hello,Thank you for your feedback and for speaking with the Property Manager. We are glad to hear that they were able to reiterate our NTV requirements and clarify any questions you had regarding the process. Per the signed lease agreement, it is noted on pg. 1 of the lease that 60 days' written notice is required before move-out and is also reiterated on pg. 7 of the lease agreement. Additionally, when the lease renewal was sent (by email and a physical letter) it again stated that a 60-day notice was required before vacating (It is also common practice in the Pheonix area to require a 60-day notice). Thank you again for your post, and we wish you well in all your future endeavors.Best regards,Pavilions on Central Management Team

Again, I never received a hard copy of the lease agreement or a lease renewal letter or email. I believe 60 days notice is excessive and the original lease agreement was until May 31, not June 10.
