Took our vehicle into collision center after an accident. The body shop performed sub par work, made modifications with prior consent, had zero communication throughout process, refuse to address safety concerns and are now threatening me while still holding our vehicle.

Customer  is asking for us to fix his water pump, rock chips on his hood and replace left front wheel for free . Something his insurance at this time is not willing to approve or pay for. Customer is complaining about multiple issues not related to his claim to get out of paying his deductible . We are more than happy to take care of these items if the customer or his insurance are willing to pay for them . We have repair authorization signatures from the customer for any repairs that are valid and also time stamped communication calls and text message with the customer . Our stance will not change .

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/11/2025

The body shop failed to repair the vehicle to an acceptable standard. Flaws in the finish due to painting over an unprepared surface contaminated with oil, grease or dirt. Repair of the left front wheel they claim to be a certified repair but will not provide any documentation supporting their claim of a certified repair beyond a line item R and R on the repair order. They failed to communicate in any way with me in regards to findings, repair options or allow any input in regards to decisions made about my vehicle. They claim to have time stamped proof of correspondence. If so, they should upload it here, otherwise it's another fruitless claim. The same fruitless claim such as me seeking free work or not willing to pay the deductible.

Our vehicle made it about a mile off collision center property before suffering mechanical failure. It has been towed to another repair facility. We have incurred as of this date $650 in rental car fees and an estimate this far of nearly $2000 in further repairs that the collision center claimed to have complete d and fraudulently billed the insurance company for said repairs. The collision center also stained the interior of our vehicle by storing a random tire in the back of our vehicle and they are refusing to resolve this damage. We are seeking reimbursement from collision center of Peoria for associated repairs caused from our original insurance claim. We are supplying the insurance company with all information and correspondence.

I contacted Peoria Collision about blemishes in the Paint job. ***** was hostile over the phone but he did tell me to bring it in. In person he was the same, I was treated very poorly not to mention the anger issue (what seemed like roid rage). Finally he said the person who deals with this would contact me, but that it would take several months. This was **** of 2023, almost a year has past and I was never contacted. I suspected ***** was lying to me at the time and it would appear I was correct. **** originally painted the hood in **** 2011. The blemishes appeared and they repainted it in 2012. Then in 2015 I once again saw the blemishes, but I did not have my paperwork when I returned so they could not help. I understood this even thou the long time office girl remembered me from my 2 previous visits. The paperwork was in my RV out state and I was caring for my Dad. When I finally retrieved the paper work I returned, as **** advertises a lifetime warranty. A lot of time had passed but it was garage kept and was driven just over 5,000miles/year. Reading other reviews, ***** still displays anger issues, lying to, and intimidating customers. I would be afraid to let them touch my vehicle at this point.

My teenage daughter was hit in a minor side swipe collision. I had a vehicle repaired here in the past, several years ago, so this was my first choice. Boy was I mistaken. The lack of customer service is appalling. From the girls at the front desk, the service adjuster, the director and the crew who disassembled my car. There was money stolen, loose change but still ridiculous, and was told by ***** he can't guarantee the security of the car because of transients in the area. They told us, three separate people that worked there, they would not charge for three days which of course they ended up doing so. No one calls you back, we were told we would receive an email which never came. All we wanted was for them to treat us like they would want their loved ones to be treated. I have tried contacting Acura of Peoria, this collision center is owned by them. *************************** said he would get some information to me last week, he has yet to do so. I don't understand how these businesses stay open. I want the information requested, an email with a break down of fees paid to insurance company and the agreement between collision center and insurance company, ****.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/05/2023

The customer was handled properly per process and procedures, the money that was stolen was reimbursed, the invoice of charges to insurance company was emailed for break down. The vehicle totaled out all from here on out it's between the customer and the insurance company insurance we explained this multiple times. The customer does not understand this. Multiple times we have asked the customer what else they need, and they do not know. We have multiple signs in our lobby that ****** states please remove personal belongs from vehicle we are not responsible for anything missing. The vehicle is in the insurance company's hands customer has to deal with them not us. customer was not treated wrongly by any means

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/05/2023

You are absolutely incorrect, we asked several times for an explanation and break down of fees charged. ***** said his email was down. That was two weeks ago. We were also told 3 days of storage fees would not be charged so if theres nothing to hide send over the invoice that was provided the day requested. I want the agreement between collision center and insurance as well as invoice of fees paid, which was personally requested to ***** the director.

Secondly Im sure your customers would be happy to know your site is not secured and homeless people have the open ability to commit burglary.

This response is not but lies. Send the explanation of fees to *********************** Do the right thing.

Oh my gosh, we never got the information. The day we spoke to ***** he said the email system was down and never sent it when it came back up.

Just send the requested information. If you have nothing to hide its a simple process.

Im not understanding the confusion. Feel free to reach out to me. Id be happy to talk.
