The work to repair the inside of the wall was done June 2, 2025. I paid in full the amount that we had agreed upon. ***** ******** stated that when the paint dried it would match. I said okay. I did not notice that the plaster/texture was raised. Once the paint was dried it did not match. It is noticeably darker. It took numerous phone calls to get ***** to come back out to see the work. ***** stopped by on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He told me to call the office to get me on the schedule. When I called, ******* ******** stated that because I said it was okay on June 2nd they would not come back out unless I was going to pay them to redo it. This is not acceptable. I let them know within three days telephonically that the paint did not match and that the plaster/texture was noticeably raised compared to the rest of the wall. The pictures do not accurately reflect the difference in color and texture. Thank you, ******* ************ home--no text

    Business Response

When we were contacted to perform this work, the client had a huge hole in her drywall from (assumably) a previous contractor. The client was informed that we could perform the job but, the texture would not be an exact match and we are at the mercy of the paint distributer to get the paint correct. We were asked by the client to please get this completed as soon as possible due to her having company arriving and she didn't want us there when they arrived. When we were completed with this task I asked the client if she was happy with the results. She was very happy with the results and was equally eager to pay her bill and get us out of her house.    I conclude with this. How is is right that a client rush you out of their home and then, even after staying they were happy with the results and paid their bill now wants us to change the texture and paint her wall? Maybe don't rush your contractor to complete your job and when your given the opportunity to respond to the question of " are you happy with the way it turned out?"  Respond accordingly and your concerns would be addressed then.

It is not true that ***** or any Paragon employee told me that they could not match the texture. Furthermore, this statement is not true, since other drywall experts can. It is true that I had company, and I was eager for them to leave. However, this does not excuse poor workmanship. Paragon told me that they would come back and redo the texture, but that they would charge me. In other words, the texture can be matched. I am not going to pay someone to redo work that was not properly the first time. I know I will have to contract someone else to correct the texture and paint discoloration. The complaint is valid. Other individuals have seen the wall and have also told me that it was done correctly.
