    Exceptional service, it is refreshing to work with a company that actually cares about you and your home. They are seasoned experts, and it shows in their craftsmanship and very smart solutions that made our remodel look amazing. I know they do thousands of countertops per year, but they made us feel like we were their only ones. I highly recommend them.

    Chivino made our countertops out of mismatched slabs. When we complained, they took no responsibility, but instead submitted a "material warranty" claim to ********* (the manufacturer). In the meantime, Chivino directed us to "go ahead and install the kitchen plumbing." So, we did. Now, the warranty from ********* was approved, and Chivino tells us they are replacing the entire kitchen countertops, so all the plumbing we just paid to have connected must be disconnected and then reconnected. Chivino refuses to reimburse us for this disconnect/reconnect expense, on the grounds that the job is a "material warranty." The fact that we connected our plumbing based on Chivino's direction is conveniently ignored. Had we known that the sink slab would be removed, we would never have had the plumbing installed. We only did it because Chivino advised us to do so.We don't know what Chivino reported to the manufacturer on this claim. However, from our perspective, the mismatched countertops we received reflect a failure of Chivino fabrication management, quality control, and installers, to push obviously mismatched material onto us as customers.This mess is on top of pathetic customer service days go by without response to emails, phone calls arent returned, and it seems every time I call, the person is out, or the department just left, and I get sent to voice mail which doesnt get a response.

    We are sorry to hear that your experience was not positive. Sometimes things are out of our control such as, material and 3rd party purchases. I believe the countertops have been completely replaced and the warranty issue has been rectified. if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. Thank you

    The countertops were replaced June 17th. (Original installation was April 18th)The out of our control statement from Chivino is a total cop-out. Yes, as the fabricator, Chivino cannot control the material the manufacturer provides to them. However, they do have responsibility and absolute control over how that material is turned into the final product. They take the measurements, they determine how to cut the pieces (like puzzle pieces) out of the slab material. Chivino failed miserably by fabricating totally mismatched countertop pieces for our kitchen. After obtaining replacement material from the manufacturer, we (the customers) were invited to their shop to participate in determining how the countertop (5) pieces would be cut from the material slabs. This resulted in the replacement countertop pieces now matching as they should have originally. Our counters finally look as intended. Had Chivino engaged our participation with planning on the first material slabs, this entire mess would have been avoided. Instead, we had two months of additional waiting for our countertops, with our backsplashes and other kitchen finish work on hold. This has also cost us almost $1,000 of additional plumbing expense to disconnect and then reconnect all of our kitchen plumbing. Plumbing that was originally connected SOLELY due to advice of Chivino, and for which they have accepted ZERO responsibility. Adding insult to injury is the mess left by the installers of the replacement counters. The edge of one door on our (brand new) lazy ***** now has damage. And, although we had carefully covered our drawer contents to keep debris from removal of the old countertop out of our drawers, the installers removed the drawers, leaving us with cabinets and contents (bakeware, pans, etc.) full of dust and bits of debris from the removal. I spent two hours today cleaning up that mess. Is there anything Chivino can do for us? Let them know? WE DID THAT. We asked to be reimbursed for the extra plumbing expense we incurred. Chivino refused; their excuse being that this entire mess was a material warranty as though their faulty initial fabrication and subsequent untrustworthy plumbing advice has no relevance.

    Within 3 months of having Chivino Surfaces LLC install a new kitchen countertop, the caulking between the counter and kitchen wall cracked. This revealed gaps. When Chivino was called to see what they were able to do to repair the caulking job, their reply was that caulk will shrink over time and they are not responsible. Caulk does shrink over time, but not in just three months. They did offer to come out and repair the caulk job for $300.00. Poor customer service.

    We are sorry to hear that you had a less than satisfactory experience with us. Unfortunately, caulking is not covered under any warranty and does shrink over time. Sometimes, that can be a shorter duration than others depending on the jobsite conditions. Again, we are sorry to hear that you had a less than desirable experience with us.

    Apparently ****************** use Chivino as their only counter contractor, which is a shame. Had questions and concerns about charges and seams for our new counter which no one addressed and ended up with a bad factory cut on an edge of the counter. We were to discuss before install and no one bothered to call. After install we called to address the bad cut which is very visible and spoke to ***** who has been trained or it is her personality to be condescending and doesnt care about customer satisfaction or concerns. She spoke over me continuously in a robotic manner and pointed blame at *********** Horrible experience and so frustrating to be treated in such an unprofessional manner. I would not recommend using Chivino for any project. They do not care and will not fix their poor quality. Got charged $800 for the stove cutout and ***** said we could not have the $800 piece they would throw away! Why would a company like ********** and ***** use such a low quality and unprofessional company that is not BBB credited?
