I was going to school I went on LOA in may (my grandfather was very sick) and in the process decided that Pima was not the school for me. I withdrew in may of 2021, its now august Ive been trying to go to a new school with better options for myself and Pima is holding my loans basically hostage. They are only allowed to keep 30% of the program amount. They are holding almost ***** more in loans (not disbursed either just holding them). I cant start a new college and continue my education because Pima who lied to me (was told it was completely on campus not online but it was mostly online!) was not informed that we needed to get a pharmacy tech on training license (was told that 10 weeks into classes and wasnt allowed to work with medication even though it was their blunder. Im seeking for them to refund ALL the loans theyve taken! I want them to keep zero of my loans. Ill have a balance with them, make a payment plan, but My student loans need to be released they are scam artistBusiness response

Student was on an approved leave of absence. Per policy, the student was terminated for not returning from her leave of absence. The return to title IV was processedby financial aid on 7/1/2021. At that time the loan period was updated and thescheduled funding was canceled as per protocol with students that have withdrewfrom the program.
An email was sent to the student on 7/1/2021 with the finalbalance due to the school and options to set up a payment plan.
Student called on 8/4/2021 and stated she was trying to attend another school andwas told that her loans had not yet been canceled with Pima Medical Institute. When we checked the student's status on the **** ********** of *********** Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) web site it appear that the cancellation never went through the system so the request was sent a second time.
On 8/20/2021 we once again checked the student's status in COD and identified that COD had not been updated. We attempted to contact the student with an update and lefta message. We also reached out to the student's advisor at the receiving school lettinghim know our steps for resolution and that we were working on the problem.Several attempts were made to update COD. The issue was eventually resolved. We sent an email to both thestudent and the receiving school letting them know COD had updated.
We spoke with the student who explained why she was concerned and that she was instructed by the finance manager at thecollege she was applying to reach out to the BBB and file a complaint to helpmove the process along. We explained to the student the technical difficultiesof canceling the funding. The student stated she may even considering returning to Pimato complete her program and rescinding her complaint to the BBB.
