I signed the release and received the check. On that same date, I deposited the refund check into my bank account. On the 28th of January my bank advised me that the Archer refund check, in the amount of $80.00, was charged back to my account and I was being charged a $15.00 service fee.I want the refund in the amount of $80.00 and the bank service fee of $15.00, for a total amount of $95.00 to be paid to me in CERTIFIED FUNDS. If they refuse, I will go to the Az Attorney General for the bac check.

In early December, 2023, I took my 2021 Pivot ******* to Archers Bikes in ****, **, because the carbon fiber frame top tube had cracked for no reason I could find. It originally sold for $10,000 MSRP. Archers is a certified Pivot dealer here. The bike was otherwise in working order. I had ridden it the day before I discovered the frame was cracked. After a month, I was informed the bike was out of warrantee but wanted it repaired anyway. After another month of delays, excuses, dismissive remarks, and misdirection from *******, the store manager, I was no closer to getting my bike fixed than when I took it in. Meanwhile, the mechanic working on it told me the motor was broken and had to be replaced, at my expense. No explanation for why it was broken then but not when I brought it to them. Days later, when discussing the problems with **** Archer, a co-owner, she agreed to repair and return my bike for about $2100 as long as I did not complain to BBB or any other public venue about my poor treatment by Archers. She had reduced the charge by a few hundred dollars by that point, she said. After thinking about it, I called her back to tell her to return my bike with repairs done and charge me the full amount for the work done, because I felt complaining publicly about Archers was more important than the money. She then told me I was extorting Archers and that she was returning my bike to me as is, with the cracked frame and now a broken motor that was not broken when I brought it in. Her approach was generally dismissive, argumentative, condescending, and finally accusatory and blaming. I will now have to get the bike, take it to an authorized Pivot dealer I can trust and pay for rebuilding the bike with new frame and new motor. Lots more time without my bicycle. I have cycled for many years on expensive bikes and dealt with many shops for service and repairs. I have never before been treated this way. Archers should be made to answer, I believe.

This is a used e-bike with over ***** miles on it, ***** is not the original owner, and the broken frame was determine by Pivot (the original manufacturer) to be caused by impact. It is not under warranty. ***** agreed to supply a replacement frame at cost, which we agreed to pass on to ***** at no markup. We made a significant investment to transfer the bike to the new frame. After a considerable amount of time working with Pivot and Fazua (e-bike motor manufacturer), we found the bike needs other worn out parts replaced. After many attempts to appease ***** and find a repair solution to his satisfaction, we determined that there was no way we would ever agree. We delivered the bike with the new frame to Pivot and they are looking for another shop to help *****. We charged ***** nothing for our extensive investment of time and effort. We disagree with his remarks as they are inaccurate and defamatory. This customer is extraordinarily demanding and unreasonable. We wish him the best of luck in his future efforts but ask that he never contact or visit our store again.
