    On August16, 2023 I took my vehicle to sunbelt auto for a repair to my AC on my **** Mercury Sable. I was advised from the master mechanic "******" to purchase my own part (a compressor). I did bring this part with me on day of repair. After countless hours and a modification to the part I purchased I was advised the apprentice could not complete the repair because he was "not good with hoses" and additional hoses needed to be purchased and installed- After 2 weeks of waiting the master tech -owner returned to finish what his apprentice could not, just to be told the original part purchased, modified to fit and installed was incorrect & a new compressor had to be purchased. I asked for some sort of refund as I just spent 500 on a repair that completed NOTHING! Not to mention the Original quote from the owner was 500 total which WAS TO INCLUDE FREON! the Freon charge was 200 and the labor quote was 300= 500. I left the business with no repair, no receipts and told additional parts needed to ordered AND I would be charged MORE for Freon once the hoses were installed. I did ask for a refund and was refused because the technician stated " I didn't buy the part from them" however they modified the part causing me to be unable to return the part. I no longer thrust this company and the fact I have no breakdown of what service was performed is unacceptable.
