Orlando's did some additional unauthorized work on my car before consulting with my car insurance or me. Orlando's sent the supplement to my insurance company after they already did the work. State Farm only covers authorized work. Orlando's held my car hostage for weeks after the job was already completed. They extorted an extra $800 from me before I could pick up my vehicle.Business response

Take it up with Statefarm and or your ajent as we directed you. We get to decide how to fix a car not Statefarm, we are the repair experts and your under payment by them is something that is happing all the time with Statefarm these days
Do a 2 minute search and you will see since the pandemic Almost every carrier is short handed and not taking care of the clients.
If you feel like we have truly done something wrong take us to court and and the least let us vindicate ourselves as im confident we did nothing wrong and never do we are

No I'll take it up with you. State Farm is the payee and they do have a say in matter. I have a say in the matter. You can't just do whatever the heck you want. There has to be checks and balances to protect the consumer.Business response

I'm not done with Orlando auto body. I found an attorney that helps veterans file lawsuits against businesses that take advantage of people with PTSD and other mental illnesses. What Orlando auto body did to me and my mother is criminal. Orlando auto body said they did not have to wait for State Farm to give them permission to do the additional work. If that was the case why at the beginning did they wait a week for State Farms permission to start the job.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction was 09/07/2022.Orlando Body Shop was paid $6014.81 for repairs to my 2014 Chevrolet Camaro that was involved in a collision on July 30, 2022. In addition, they were sent another $500 to cover the deductible.They failed to provide the services they were paid for, which are the following:Cover to Air filter is broken. I was advised the cover is approximately $200 to replace. Concerned about other parts that they neglected to They failed to even bolt on the left fender that was damaged in accident. bolts that should be securing the fender are not there. This is resulting in the front end of my car appearing to be crooked and out of place on the driver's side. They replaced the fog light and the headlight with cheaper lights. I had upgraded them all to led lights. Now one side of the car has the led lights and the drivers side does not. This is unsatisfactory since the lights do not even match with each other. The backseat was damaged in the accident, due to the impact of the bags that were in the trunk. It now has a large lump in the middle of the back seat. They failed to replace or repair the back seat of the car. I called several times asking if the car was ready yet, as it had been at least a month that it was at their shop. Each time I called, they said it was getting painted. When car was picked up, employee said was sitting for 30 days, wondered when we would come get it.Had to replace battery that same night, since it had been sitting for so long, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. A/C vent is making strange noise. Alignment is extremely bad.I've called several times asking to speak with owner, he has never returned my calls. Tried to set up appt to bring it in, they said to come by before 4:30 pm. I work, during those hrs, cant take it, have then look at it and take it back again. Need appt to have it fixed at a confirmed time. They have not even tried to be accommodating or concerned about the horrible job they did.Business response

I began working with Orlando Auto Body ********** in 12/2021 and my vehicle was involved in a hit and run auto accident on HGW 101. My vehicle was drivable however the rear of my vehicle was damaged badly. I vehicle was in the care of Orlando Autobody ********** for nearly 3 months if not more. Since I retrieved my vehicle, I had multiple times of returning my vehicle because the rear gate would not close securely, large gaps inbetween panels and lastly, the rear camera does not work. I have tried on several occasions to have my rear camera issue resolved. Orlando Auto Body has stopped responding to both telephone calls and emails and this is after my last conversation I had with their "shop manager". Because the team refuses to return my calls or emails, I am seeking any assistance possible to have this team to complete the service that has been promised to me for over half a year now.Please contact me if more information is needed,Thank you BBB teams.Business response
