Never answers phone, voice mail is always full, never returns text messages, have been waiting on their service for 4 weeks now in ******* with no air. Horrible company. Ha e to use them because of home warrantyReview from Kimberly B

DO NOT USE. My home warranty company scheduled them to come out and do some repairs, and we were told that it would take about 6 hours with a long list of repairs that needed to be done, included 100s of dollars of repairs that the home warranty company wouldn't cover, so we had to pay out of pocket for. On the day of, the techs were only here for 1.5 hours. I contacted the company using the number we were told to text, asking them if all the work had been completed. Radio silence. They didn't answer the phone, and the voice mailbox was full, so they were impossible to contact. Come to find out, they had done very little of what they'd charged for. The are dishonest and scammy. Our home warranty company has since dropped them if that's any indication of their quality of work. Would not recommend unless you are looking to have your time wasted and money stolen.Review from Aric S

Inadequate service and extremely poor communications.Inept technicians, after 2 visits, ******* they were unable to get our system cooling, but they couldn't find any problems! Hmmm soon recieved an offer from them trying to sell me a new AC.They called us 3.5 hours prior to the arrival window, at 830am. When we didn't answer they canceled, no text no email until 3 days later, no communications. This was for AC, in ******* during the summer.Review from Brian M

I wish I could leave Zero Star rating. They came to fix my AC unit through the home warranty. They send a report to home warranty and asked $920 for cleaning the coils which was not part of their job and has nothing to do with their service. Since I have declined to pay the **** cleaning fees, they refused to come back and fix the unit they were supposed to fix. They never answer the phones, and sometimes responding through text messages. They remove the screws from the newly installed unit and damaged some parts of the unit. AVOID this company, their operations and reviews show how they try to get their business.Review from Emily S

They took weeks to come out and repair my AC only to have it break again 3 weeks later. They charged me $800 the first time for things that weren't covered by my warranty... pretty sure that was untrue. Now they won't return phone calls or make a return appointment in a timely manner. In November 2022 my home warranty company sent Kappa Air out to fix my system as the heater was blowing cold air. The tech told me it was an outer wire that was damaged by the sun and was not covered by the warranty but he could repair it for about $400. I had him repair it. Fast forward to about a week ago and when I went to use my AC for the first time this year it wouldn't blow cold air. Once again I called my warranty company. They assigned it to Kappa Air again but after 2 days of getting no response, and not answering their phone, my warranty company assigned it to another company. After looking at the unit the new company basically said that the Kappa Air tech lied and cheated me!! The problem wasn't a bad wire - it was a magnetic switch that definitely was covered under the warranty. The Kappa Air guy basically pulled out the wire and hid the end which forced the heat to come on making it seem like it was fixed. And since he pulled out the wire, there was no way it would have worked when I tried using the cooling again. So not only cheating me out of about $400 but also basically sabotaging the unit and guaranteeing another service call would need to be placed when the weather changed again!! I have called the warranty company and filed a complaint. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!Review from Paul P

Horrible Communication very unprofessional. Set up an appointment on Friday told they would be there on Tuesday. No call no show on Tuesday. Tried calling the number on their website it goes start to voicemail/recorder. They only respond by text, so I tried texting them on the number the set the appointment up on. Someone responded saying I was never put on the schedule. After texting back and forth, the new appointment was set for the same day in late afternoon. I was thinking great they screwed up but they are trying to make it right. About an hour later they text my tenant saying they can't make it today, maybe tomorrow. Again try to call nothing but voicemails, try texting nothing. Final had to call my home warranty company and get a new contractor. By the look of all the bad reviews I have seen, I'm glad they didn't touch my HVAC system.Review from TM W

Kappa Air came out due to my home warranty assigning them. They released 2 pounds of freon stating that my system was "over charged" and that was our issue. Then the tech (who was a nice *****************, but clearly didn't have a clue) was on the phone with his supervisor constantly trying to sort out the actual problem.Ultimately, he left and said the let it run, it should be fine. Well it wasn't, it stopped cooling almost immediately. We tried to get in touch with them, phone calls, text messages...no one bothered to get in touch with us. We finally got a reputable company out and they correctly diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes or less. Needed a new fan motor and capacitor oh and 2 pounds of Freon!!!I'm ticked because these clowns cost me a week with no air and $270 to replace the freon I feel they stole from us.Stay clear of these guys, they have no idea.Review from Tami M

Very dissatisfied with their service. The tech that came out to check the airflow issue and told me there were issues with how the A/C unit was installed and even told me it's too large for the house and that's why it's restricting airflow. However, when they reported it to my home warranty company, they reported it as no issues, so, my home warranty company closed my ticket. Now, I need to start the process again.Review from Tom G.

The absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They came out for a basic AC inspection and repair assessment from my home warranty company, as my AC was not keeping up with the summer heat. I have owned my home warranty policy for over 11 years and have service records the entire time. They reported to my home warranty company that I was tampering with my unit. Never have I tampered with anything! Why would I pay for a home warranty for 11 years then decide to give HVAC a try?A second company came out for a second opinion and said that the compressor was failing due to age, and that there is no signs of it ever being tampered with. I now have to fight with my home warranty as they are trying to deny it due to the dishonesty and shady business practices of this company. IF YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY SAYS THEY ARE SENDING KAPPA AIR...REQUEST ANOTHER COMPANY!!! This company is dishonest and immoral.
