February 4, 2022, *******'s Dukes of Air technician *********************** came to assess a buzzing noise coming from the ceiling. The technician came back and stated that a faulty relay was the cause of the humming noise and showed me the relay in his hand. He then told me he would go out and find out the charge. I was thrown off since an estimate was not given prior and authorization for work was not given. He then informed me that I owe $319.20 for the relay. I told him that seems high, and he actually agreed with me. The technician called the office and they stated that was correct. The technician stated he was only the messenger and that he required payment. He stated to call the office and speak with "****" about the matter. At the time of payment an invoice was not given nor an explanation of charges. I proceeded to call the office on 2/4/2022 at 9:28am and the person answering stated a manager would have to call back. At that time, I also requested a refund on the remaining portion of my service contract. The service contract states that I can request the refund by calling them. The person answering the call could not handle that matter either. I also sent an email at 9:49am requesting a resolution. I sent a second email 2/7/2022 at 7:58am. Finally, an invoice was sent to me that was not signed and it did not indicate work was authorized. I also called on 2/7/2022 at 11:07am and the individual stated that "****" would call me back later that day. I have since received no response by phone or email and stated on 2/10/2022 at 7:51am that I would try to seek assistance from the BBB or ROC. My issues are that no prior work authorization was received, and a $19.95 diagnostic should have been charged and an estimate given. Also, due to the poor level of customer service a pro-rated refund should be given on the ***************** contract per the terms and conditions.

First off, stay far away from this company. I had Dukes of Air come out to do a full install at my house on January 15th, ****. The first crew that came out were nice. I left them to it and went to work. After they were done with the install, I came home to finish the paperwork. That is when I started noticing things right away that didnt look right. First, the flue pipe looked like a hot mess and wasnt fastened correctly. Next, I noticed the Plenum, which looked like garbage. Next, I went inside where they replaced the return grill, which looked horrible. After the install crew left, I started noticing even more things wrong. One being the Plenum looks like a five-year-old put it together. ******* came out and took a look at, and was very disappointed in the install overall. ******* scheduled a whole new crew to come out on Wednesday to fix it. In the meantime, I fixed the flue pipe to make it adequate. The second crew that showed up on Wednesday did a little better than the last crew with the Plenum and fixing some of the stuff on the install. After they left, we had to get on the road to get to **********. Before we left, I noticed a lot of screws on the driveway and in our garage that they did not clean up (found a handful on the first day too). I thought I had all the screws cleaned up after they left but my wifes car tire found one. Luckily, I did not drive all the way up to ********** with a s**** in my tire. We took my other car to ********** and had the tire fixed when we got back. Then we had the other manager come out and do a final check on everything to make sure everything was working properly. At this time, I thought everything was okay. Seemed like the system was running okay. Over the next couple of days, I smelled gas and I thought maybe it was just a new install smell. After looking closer, I found out that there was a gas leak from the new gas line that they installed on my Furnace, which also was a c*** job.
