Biggest crooks I have ever seen.Tool my car for repairs and got a $900 dollar est. they did that work then without an ok the "checked" the turbo and said it was bad. Told them that I didn't want them to repair that and when I picked their car up they charge me an additional $500 dollars for labor for checking the turbo. Checking the turbo required removing a hose! Was told it took an additional 3 hours of labor!Idont believe a hose removal takes 3 hours.

Mr. ***** car was towed into us because it quit running on the highway. The customer informed me that he replaced the mass air sensor and the fuel filter, he said a piece was missing but it still would not work. Our initial diagnosis reviled that there was no fuel reaching the fuel filter and that the pump in the tank was defective. I gave the customer an estimate for the fuel pressure test and the scan tool diagnosis to read for the error codes and to replace the fuel pump in the tank. After the pump was replaced, it had the correct fuel pressure but still would not start. We did a compression test to verify the engine was good and it tested ok. We checked the *** system to determine if there was a blockage in the vehicle, no detect was found. We checked the mass air flow sensor again, we also checked the crank position sensor for signal, and no defects were found. We then removed the turbo air piping to inspect the turbo, we found the turbo had seized and the impeller was broken. This was likely caused by a foreign object in the intake system. It is not normal for a turbo failure and fuel pump failure to occur at the same time. It is my belief that the customer is not being honest or forthcoming with all pertinent information as to what occurred during the repair he attempted to make and as to what happened when the car stopped running. I called the customer and advised him as to what we found, at that time he refused further repairs and stated he would pick up the car as is. We only charged him for the fuel pump replacement and further diagnosis as to why the engine would not start. We proceeded with the further diagnosis because it would not help the customer if the engine would still not run/start after spending money to replace the fuel pump. I tried to explain this to the customer however, he was too upset to listen or to be reasoned with. I firmly believe he did something to the vehicle during his attempt to repair it that caused the turbo failure (the foreign object in the turbo). As a shop owner for over 43 years, I pride myself of being fair to my customers and I feel that the charges for the parts and labor for the repairs that were completed and the diagnosis charges are fair charges to the customer and fairly due to my shop.
