In May, 2023, I was notified that the Hyundai Corporation had determined that the paint used on several white 2017-2018 Hyundai models was defective. They offered to have the peeling paint fixed on my 2017 Elantra that Id bought new from Jim Click Hyundai in Green Valley, *******. Over a two week period in May, 2023, during which the Jim Click Company had my car, I assumed that it was being fully repainted. I believed that, if the original paint was defective, the entire car would have to be repainted. During the last week of 2023, I noticed that paint on my roof was beginning to peel. I took the car in to Jim Click Green Valley. The Service Manager understood my frustration but said the only suggestion he could make is to write a letter to Hyundai Corporation. The Service Manager said that his records showed that the entire car had not been repainted. Only those places where the paint was peeling at that time were repainted. He took a photograph of the spot where new peeling was beginning. As suggested I wrote to the Hyundai *** Corporation with a cc: to the Better Business Bureau. After months of hearing nothing I finally got a response from Hyundai by way of the BBB. Hyundai *** said "Hyundai Motor ******* will not be providing the customer a check for their paint repairs, we refer the customer to work with the dealer for any further paint concerns."I am, therefore - and again "as suggested" - writing to the Jim Click Hyundai Company with the request that my 2017 Hyundai Elantra (VIN# *****************) be repainted in such a way as to eliminate all peeled paint spots (see attached photo) and any other places on the car that might in the future fail due to no fault by me, the owner.

I purchased a 2016 Hyundai Sonata from Hyundai of Green Valley in 2019. Towards the end of 2021 I noticed paint chipping off the roof of my car. I took it to Hyundai Auto Mall in ****** and they quoted me to get the roof repainted and said there was nothing they could do other than charge me. I looked around for a better price because I knew I could get it done elsewhere for hundreds less. I took it to Maaco and the roof was repainted there. They had stated that the original application of paint was done incorrectly and they could tell this because of the way it was chipping. I paid and hoped it was only the roof that would give me an issue. Fast forward to March 2023 I noticed a large chunk of paint chipping off the passenger side of the door. I already had an appointment at Jim Click and again, they said they would not be able to fix their mistake. I then called Hyundai Corporate. The first person I spoke with said yes, it was out of warranty but as a "courtesy" they would get in contact with my local Jim Click Hyundai and they would call me to set up an appointment to take pictures and assess if there was anything they could do. I was assigned a case manager and after many weeks of back and forth I was told today that I was given the wrong information and Hyundai will NOT be looking at my vehicle and there is nothing they can do. I wasn't even able to get the manager at Jim Click to pick up the phone or respond to my voicemails. I was sold a car with a defective paint job and then given wrong information by corporate. By the time I purchased the car it was already "out of warranty" but the paint issue did not appear until after that date anyways. A quick search on the internet will show many complaints of 2016/2017 Hyundai vehicles with ********************* paint having the SAME issue and Hyundai is taking NO accountability. There is talk of a class action lawsuit and people receiving extended warranty notifications but I did not receive anything in regards to that.

Dear Jim Click,I'm reaching out to solicit help with the repair of my 2017 Hyundai ************** 2.0 Turbo, which has been subject to trouble shooting for over four (4) months now at Jim Click Hyundai Green Valley. The service manager, ****** has been very kind and supportive providing a loaner, as my vehicle is under an extended 10 year Platinum Hyundai Warranty, purchased with new vehicle purchase. ****** has had a difficult experience with Hyundai *******, as have I. Very slow and sporadic **************** and Technical Support. My biggest fear, beyond getting my car back, is having to move out of state the end of Jan'23 without it, with the loaner. ****** says he's doing his best, but time to provide more help to get to root cause(s) and repair. Respectfully requesting senior Jim Click help to reach a resolution very soon. Thank you very much Respectfully,***********************
