**** ******* was the owner/operator of Heliosun Solar dba Odin Energy out of ********, **. He closed on hundreds of thousands of dollars in contracts that were warranted for a lifetime of workmanship and decades of manufacturer warranty. He is not leaving any forwarding information for clients left in the lurch, and now doing the exact same business under a different name, offering a lifetime warranty that he clearly will never honor. This man should not be allowed to operate as a contractor when he is leaving thousands of Arizonans without any recourse. The license of this business should be revoked. He has at least two lawsuits in ****** and ********, that I know of. His company was installing Windows roofing, HVAC insulation solar and I cant imagine what other kind of home improvement. I purchased $60,000 worth of solar and windows in 2022. I have read complaints dated up to 2023 and 2024 when people first started trying to track him down. He is also weirdly marketing himself as a Christian contractor, though it appears he is Mormon. I dont care what religion he practices if any, but it goes to speak to the character of this person, a charlatan.Initial Complaint

I purchased a contract for over $60,000 paid in full in 2021 and completed 1/13/2022. The project included two large windows and a solar energy system for my house in *******. I am regularly having $200 to $400 electric bills from the utility company, and the windows are falling out, literally cracking the interior of the house. Ive reached out to ask who will be honoring the warranties, but so far the only response Ive heard is a false statement from the original sales person that he now lives in ****** as a three years ago. I have seen at least two other lawsuits in different states, ****** and ******** against this company. If I can find the one in *******, I will join them.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract for lifetime warranty for installation that was blown in my attic sealing my vents on 1/10/2022. I paid $3,933 for this service and warranty. I have made several attempts to contact Odin at ************** the number is no longer in service. Since Odin can't honor the lifetime warranty I paid the company should reimburse some the money I paid back to me as good faith.Initial Complaint

We purchased our panels back in Jan, 2021 with the promise of receiving a minimal APS bill going forward. As of today, we still continue to receive APS bills ranging from $100-$300 per month, on top of the monthly $213 Odin bill. Our most recent APS summary shows the panels only providing 22% and *** providing 78% of our energy. Our consultant assured us the correct number of panels were placed on our home, but this is obviously not the case. I've made numerous attempts to contact the company, but have not received a response. I feel that we were manipulated into a purchase that has provided no benefits and are now stuck in the situation until the $46,060 loan is paid in full.Initial Complaint

We were told the interest rate would be 6.99 percent not 7.49 percent. We were also told that it would include Pearl citification which we have not receivedBusiness Response

Hello ****,
Thank you for your honest feedback. After looking into your account and financing details, your interest rate is higher as you opted out of the auto pay option. If you enroll in the auto pay option, the interest rate will be at 6.99%.
We submitted all of the required information to Pearl for your certification on February 27th, 2023. We have sent an email to Pearl asking for an update on your certificate, as their process usually takes 10-20 business days to generate the certification.
We thank you for being a valued customer of Odin Energy!Customer Answer

Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing your account, our office, as well as Goodleap's Loan Service Department, have recently been in touch with you and Mrs* ******* to explain your loan terms that were agreed upon when you signed the financing contract with Goodleap for your project with Odin Energy.
Goodleap advised us that they had spoken with Mrs* ******* and yourself in regards to the matter as well. Per Goodleap, "On 3/17 we received notification of a BBB complaint also and initiated contact with the borrower but have not heard back. We will be following up again today. We also sent Compliance a copy of page 3 of the Loan Agreement which shows the details of the "Automatic Payment Interest Variable". Borrower claimed that he was not provided information about the interest rate but it is part of the loan agreement he signed."

Hello *****,
We appreciate your honest feedback about your experience with Odin Energy. It seems that there unfortunately was some miscommunication during the point of sale. Odin Energy does not currently participate in the utility rebate program for various reasons. This is something we have never trained our sales representatives on to discuss during point of sale, as we do not participate in any utility rebate programs.
With your project and Odin Energy's own personal rebate program, there were discounts already built into your project adding up to 30% off of the original total project cost.
There is a federal tax credit that is available to you whenever you complete any home efficiency upgrades to your home that you can still apply for whenever you file your taxes. Just ask your CPA for the correct forms to fill out and file.
We sincerely appreciate you being a valued customer of ******************.Customer Answer

I am rejecting the response from **** at this time until I receive my requests which was the rebate that was mentioned of the time of sale and my receipt. **** stated in their response that there was miscommunication during time of sales I would say NO Sir that is not the case. Your representative *********************** clearly stated that we would be receiving a rebate from our SRP and that he would be sending the form via email and as well get a credit on our taxes. Whether or not youre your sales representatives were trained not to offer this rebate this was one of ***** sales pitch. Which is false advertisement at this point.
As for discounts it was mentioned that if we pay off the loan within in 18 months there would be somewhat of a discount additionally again from the rebate and taxes. Of course we didnt get a receipt so whats to say that they can alter the receipt in their favor after the fact.Business Response

Hello *****. Our office was able to speak with you directly and as mentioned during the call, we will be sending you a check for the rebate in the amount of $300. We will also be mailing and emailing you copies of your agreement, which also has all of our warranties listed on it as well for your records.
We appreciate your patience and willingness to work with us, as well as allowing us the opportunity to work with you.

**** came out on June first. Quoted work and collected a $5,000 down payment to get the work completed. I was told the work would be reviewed in July and completed shortly after. They came out to review and increase the price my 30% increase in the quote, I was told it would take an additional $6,000, to which I declined. They then said they would come out and quote new work at a different price. They came out and told me they would do a dumbed down version of the work for $14,000 but using all the same stuff we already had in the attic. They sent me a quote that didnt detail the work at all. I asked them for a detailed quote. They had more people come out, and never followed up to send the quote. I have asked for a refund of my deposit given they did not honor the contract, they have not returned it. They have had my deposit sinc June 1, 2022.Business Response

Hello *****,
Thank you for your feedback! Odin Energy prides itself in giving our customers the best quality of services and products for your money.
After looking into your account, after we received your original contract, it looks like your sales rep asked that we send a team out to verify the materials needed and scope of work for the duct replacement that was sold to you. Our HVAC team conducted a site survey on 06/28/2022. The recommendations from the HVAC technician's site survey were to demo your entire old duct system, install two new HVAC units, and have a mechanical engineer design the system, which would have increased the price of the original quote you were provided by your sales rep.
As we neared your installation date of 07/27/2022, your sales rep ******** us to remove you from our install calendar as the new quote provided to you was not something you were willing to move forward with. Your rep stated a change order to your contract was created, as the services you were going to receive were going to change and the duct replacement was going to be removed from your contract. Once that change order was created, your rep kept in touch with our Account Managers, letting them know that he was pending approval on the new services and costs he offered to you, which would have been the third offer without the cost of the ductwork.
Your rep ******** our office on 09/27/2022 that you wished to cancel your project in its entirety and not move forward with any of our services. Our office processed the cancellation of your project and issued a refund of your deposit to you on 09/29/2022 as well as emailed a receipt to you for your records. Our office also tried to call you to notify you the reimbursement was issued, but they were unable to reach out so they left a voicemail.
We thank you for being a valued customer of ******************!Customer Answer

This is a blatant lie, we had two new HVAC units that were installed in April of 2021, a year and 2 months before they visited.. They knew the units were new. Nothing they said they would complete in the attic changed from quote to engineer visit.Business Response

Your sales rep ************** had been speaking back and forth with your husband throughout the entire process of your project. Below is the timeline of your project and communication between your husband and your sales rep:
6/2-Project was signed
6/3-scheduled for install on 7/27 & 7/28
6/24-Site survey was completed to ensure the scope of work can be done for the duct replacement work.
6/25-Your husband called your sales rep to reschedule the project to a different date. Your husband also had a conversation with sales rep that the project would be much more expensive and wanted to explore options and that he would get back to sales rep on the decision.
8/8-Your sales rep was still waiting on confirmation from you and your husband for the new price of the duct work.
9/2-After the sales rep spoke with your husband, he sent over a new scope of work, which reduced the cost by about $6,000 because we would not be doing a full duct replacement.
9/8- Another site visit was completed to see how much of the duct work would be able to be replaced so that your sales rep could save you as much money as possible and still execute the project and ensure the performance of the home.
9/12-Your sales rep reached out to your husband to let him know that we could get the project completed with the new quote and scope of work.
9/13-Your husband confirmed you both were comfortable with everything and excited for us to take care of the project, but wanted a price at $10,000. Rep ******** your husband that he couldn't do that. Your husband then asked for a price breakdown. Sales rep sent that over and was awaiting a response.
9/27-You ******** your sales rep that you wished to cancel and get your deposit back.
9/29-Approval for a full refund was granted & refund was issued to the account on file.
Our team worked to the best of our abilities with our resources to accommodate you financially, while also providing the highest level of services for your home to ensure quality performance.Customer Answer

Again it is inaccurate. It is unfortunate in such a thorough breakdown that they would leave out the fact that after the conversation with the sales rep they spitballed $14,000 now instead of $26,000. They immediately sent over a new contract with a commitment that is not refundable for $14,000 with no explanation of any of the work that would be done on the contract. Well as you can imagine due to the surprising drop in the cost it would take to update our attic, we really wanted the non-refundable commitment to be better laid out. Just based on the history of working with them and how many times the project had changed I was now becoming increasingly concerned. We never received a breakdown of what the work entailed. Which is what inspired me to just cut ties and do the work with someone else.
Also, what happened to the request for two new units? That was in your previous response. Should we assume that you recognized that information was not accurate either?
It is apparent this business is having a hard time tracking all of the facts of the exchange.
