BuilduRite Construction owners name is ******************************* He is actually employed by the ********************* as a Building Inspector. A 2-party check was issued to me by my homeowners insurance. The check was made payable to BuilduRite Construction and myself, *********************. The amount is the check was determined by the insurance company. The amount was $10,784.67. Due to this fact and that my bank would not recognize ****************************** as being affiliated with BuilduRite Construction, it was agreed that the check would be deposited into ***************** account and upon the check clearing at the bank, *************** would return entire funds to me and money would be dispersed as work was completed.Unfortunately, this did not happen. *************** never communicated with me to exchange funds after this deposit was made. He did do part of the agreed upon work after this though. That work consisted of a block wall constructed and the charge for this per his invoice was $9,093.89.No other work was completed after the block wall was done on Friday, December 16, 2022. I made several attempts to contact *************** via telephone and text but was unable to achieve proper communication. He avoided calls and made false statements in text messages. I mailed a cancellation letter to *************** via certified **** mail on December 27, 2022. In this letter I informed *************** that he needed to return the remaining insurance funds to me so I can complete my home repairs. The remaining amount is $1,690.78, which is the difference between the deposited insurance check and the invoice for the block wall.*************** has failed to return funds which are NOT his and he did not perform work for this money. Per our written contract, money is only owed AFTER work has been performed.
