0 if i could. After contacting Dead Horse Diesel and RV on 8/29/22 appr. at 10am they explained to me that they could come out for a $165 service charge to assess the is*** then drive 5 hours to Phoenix and back charging me 5 hours for labor At a $165 an hour plus $2 a mile for every mile driven to and from Phoenix back to my **. When they called me and told me they had found an axle for my trailer I asked them how much would it be for the axle and I was quoted $1055. After I was given that I asked for a total and was told around $3000 by the gentleman who was going to come out and look at the ** trailer and go pick up the part. At that time I told them that we were desperate and we had no other choice so I agreed and within minutes I told him never mind we were gonna look somewhere else. I then called 3 other trailer repair places in the area we were at and one told me he could do it tomorrow For approximately $800 For the whole job including parts. Once I found that out I called the company again again and spoke with a lady that my wife had spoke to earlier in the day and I asked her how could they validate marking up the product that high along with 10 hours minimum of labor for a job that's gonna take about 3 hours in total. ***** personally then called me and yelled at me for calling his wife who answers the business phone and supposedly asking her for markup prices and said he would not do business with me and hung up the phone. Once I took to social media to warn people in the area of the bad business practices of this gentleman and business he responded back to my ******** page with a lot of argumentative responses. In the meantime he said in email he contacted his lawyer and threatened to *** me for harassment and threatened to *** me for slander. I just want to add that my wife and I are a retired couple living in an ** with absolutely no income looking for our best price. And I feel he was taking advantage of us because we are elderly and retired.

This man called in for emergency service due to the fact he was broke down on the side of the road and could not find parts. I spent several hours locating parts and getting everything together and provided a quote of $2509 to $3000 for emergency service. Our rates are $155 call out $155 an hour and $2.00 a mile. The customer asked specifically for a loaded axle which was what wa s found and quoted. The customer said go ahead and then a mailed back and asked us to weld the axle end back on and I told him it was going to be best to find someone else we do not do patch jobs. This has not hung to do with his financial or living statements. We have no clue of his situation his finances or his personality. We provide top notch service and if you want emergency service there is a cost for that as we are booked out 3-4 weeks and emergency service comes at a cost to move other appts around. All of our rates are port to port in an emergency service as we can not do anything but tend to that one customer at that time. The harassment from this customer has been forwarded to our lawyers all call have been recorded and we have a right to not be treated like trash. We are happy we chose not to do business with this customer.

Let's just start out with we got the work done it costs $781. The company who repaired the axle found an axle next day locally which means you would not have to have driven to Phoenix 5 hours and charge me 5 hours at $165 an hour not $155 an hour is what I was "quoted, I personally did not ask for a loaded axle I was given the options of a loaded axle or a replacement shaft and I did not know the difference. The gentleman on the phone was the one who told me I should go with a loaded axle. I did not request the tip of my axle to be rewelded I asked if it was possible. Avain I'm not a mechanic. Was never told that this was an emergency and they would have to move things around for us to get this appointment squeezed in. I was told it was a call out. If I'm not mistaken there was 4 maybe 5 in the effort to find cost and ETA, Every call i was told sign the contract which was emailed with no price and then they could send tech. Phone calls made to this company one were the initial call 1 was my wife. 2was wife calling to confirm tech was on the way 3 was me calling and talking to came to the Tech and the last 4 was me calling the company to find out why it was gonna cost so much money After the 4th call he returned a call to me saying that I called his wife. How would I get his wife's number other than she works for the business, my request was to know why it was so much and how could they mark up a product twice the price. This is when he said he did not want to do business with us no longer and hung up on me. I took my 1st amendment right went to ******** posted that I would not do business with this company if I had a choice and won't and warned my friends of the what I considered bad dealings from this company then I went to Better Business Bureau filed a review. In the meantime he responded to my ******** post with lies deceit and threats. He also started arguments with people and friends of mine on ******** that responding to the post. At no time did we deal with this gentleman personally except the last phone call where he said he would not do business with us threatened a lawsuit and hung up on us.
