      Make sure you get a second opinion.I have a 2012 Lexus ES 350 with less than 70k miles. *** single owner before me was a senior citizen in ********, **. This vehicle has never seen a winter, and has been well maintained.2/3 times I've been serviced at Lexus of Chandler has recommend costly repairs to my low mileage vehicle. I do not recall the exact "repair" that was done. However I do remember the 3rd recommendation.*** repair proposal from Lexus of Chandler was over **** dollars for an 18 dollar part. I understand that labor needs to go into this so I called to two different certified ****** mechanics in the valley. Both mechanics quoted the job at under $2000.Lexus of Chandler was trying to overcharge my repair by over 100%. It's really egregious an imported car company is trying to hose people in the community during these times of economic struggle.Be careful, and get a second opinion. I'm sure they've done this to others.

      Dear ****,

      I personally would like to apologize for the misunderstanding we had over the pricing of the Power Steering Rack Boot and the actual Power Steering Rack itself.

      The price we quoted included both parts, (factory OEM) Power Steering Rack Boot and Power Steering Rack plus labor.

      The part you are referring to is for the Boot only at $18.

      The Rack is the more expensive part that was included in the quote, plus labor to do all repairs.

      In Dec 2019 I purchased a new 2020 RX300 from this dealership. 3 months after purchasing the vehicle I started experiencing an issue where I would press down the gas pedal & the vehicle would not accelerate for up to 5 seconds & then finally kick in. The last time it happened I was turning left & was almost hit by 3 cars coming at me @ 50 miles an hour. Thankfully they were able to all brake & avoid hitting me until the vehicle accelerated & I could get out of the intersection. I reported this issue to the dealership 4 times & took the car in 3 times so they could hook it up to computers, drive it, etc. They told me they could find no issue. I was told I could trade the vehicle which I agreed to do for safety purposes. I was told to work with ***********************, general manager of the Chandler dealership. He was very non responsive & ultimately he sold the vehicle we were negotiating on 'out from under me' so he could make a bigger profit. It was very clear to me my safety was not an issue to me as he told me to contact corporate for further assistance. So I opened a case with corporate which took me over 2 weeks to get someone to call me back. Once I finally spoke with the rep, he explained the process & said I was eligible for the lemon law buy back *********** would receive a letter in 5-7 business days stating the process was starting & then a formal letter with the offer to buy in back in 30 days. That never happened. I called back after no receiving the ***************** closed my case so I had to open another case, which I did by directly calling the initial rep I spoke with. I did finally get a letter from corporate stating I was not eligible for the lemon law buy back and they offered me absolutely no further assistance.I had my previous Lexus RX 300 for 17 years & LOVE the car. No issues except regular maintenance. I've had NOTHING BUT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with Lexus of Chandler & corporate this round. Needless to say, this will be my last Lexus EVER.
