On 10/12/2024, I hired Greco Roman Construction after being referred by ********* website. The $****** job included 6 windows, 2 main doors, and 1 sliding glass door. I paid $***** down, $*** at install, and $*** at completion. The owner promised top-tier work as a ******* Platinum-certified installer. Stucco repair was included, and I agreed to handle exterior paint. Job was started on 12/10/24

By week two, issues appeared. Doors wouldn’t close properly. All exterior sealant around windows and doors began shrinking, leaving gaps that exposed foam insulation. My painter warned me of serious install flaws, leading me to postpone painting. Stucco was sloppily done—applied over old paint, already flaking off.

The owner came out 4–5 times but never fixed the root problems. His “repairs” were cosmetic band-aids, never addressing the actual sealing or door misalignment. I contacted ******* directly, and an inspector confirmed poor installation/insufficient sealant, cosmetic damage, and gaps. These issues were determined to be the installer’s responsibility. A damaged window was supposed to be replaced but never was.

On 6/18/25, the owner repainted around the windows instead of resealing. Thick coats of paint were applied directly over gaps. Paint dripping, painted window drains, and paint bleeding reached window faces. Within two weeks, the paint began peeling, and gaps reappeared confirming paint was used to hide sealant failures.

On 7/21/25, I sent before-and-after photos to the owner. He arrived unannounced on 7/25, was immediately hostile, and insisted the issue was cosmetic. When I insisted on proper repairs, he cursed at me and stormed off. He continued insulting me as I walked him to his truck.

This experience has been exhausting. I’ve documented everything: texts, photos, contract terms, and repair history. The work is not what was promised. The company disregarded the contract, the warranty, and basic professionalism. I’ve been more than patient.

    To Whom it may concern,

Mr, ******* has been visited by Greco Roman 3x to resolve this issue after the First time a Manufacturers technician visited the project  notated 1 defect to be warrantied by ******* directly. these windows have a manufacturers full lifetime and  Warranty, the technician never stated poor installation a fact that we have documented from the manufacturer.  Minor cosmetic caulking movement issues occur with black windows due to extreme summer heat. We visited on multiple occasions to address  issue including painting to protect the caulking at our expense  that even Mr. ******* earlier stated was not our responsibility. Upon the last visit to address warranty issues Mr. ******* was dishonest about the last interaction. We was excited and cursing and when asked not to curse and communicate he became unhinged and further cursed. at that point we decided that De-escalate  the situation and walk away.

He proceeded to follow us to the vehicle cursing and threaten us.

We are more than wiling to address any warranty issues that arise, we have been in business a long time and have never had a complaint. We take our employees safety very serious and will not engage or interact with an irrate customer because of the liability it poses

We will reach out to customer direct to address cosmetic issues and get some resolution.

    Thank you.

I’m disappointed to see your response mischaracterizing my behavior. I stayed calm and simply asked for the issues to be fixed after multiple failed attempts. The only time things got tense was when I pointed out that the work was subpar and the windows still weren’t being fixed properly that’s when your attitude changed.
My review reflects my personal experience and the condition of the work performed, all of which I’ve thoroughly documented with photos, dates, and inspection notes.
At this point, I’m not interested in any more temporary fixes, patch jobs, or paint-over attempts. Greco Roman Construction has had multiple chances over several months to fix these issues, but each time the problems either got worse or stayed the same.
The repeated poor repairs, dismissive attitude, and the owner’s unprofessional conduct including showing up unannounced and speaking to me in a hostile and aggressive way has completely destroyed my trust in this company.
While a ******* inspector did confirm the sealant used was inadequate for this type of installation, I’ve since learned he’s personally acquainted with the company’s ownership, which may explain why that finding wasn’t officially documented.
At this point, I’m asking for acknowledgment of the poor workmanship and fair compensation for work that wasn’t done to a professional or acceptable standard. To get these windows right, all the old sealant needs to be removed, stucco repaired, and the window frames cleaned, repaired, and repainted because of visible scratches, dents, and damage from installation and repairs. This isn’t just a cosmetic issue it’s the result of careless and low-quality work.
I won’t allow this company back on my property. This situation needs to be handled by someone who takes pride in their work, respects customers, and treats people’s property with care. I’m formally requesting that 50% of the money I paid be returned so I can hire a qualified contractor to do the repairs properly.

this project was contracted 10-12-2024 and completed 12-11-2024 the Labor Warranty is unconditionally on all labor and is in effect thru 12-11-2026. Windows and doors are lifetime warranty to original owner From Manufacturer. When this project was completed, customer inspected work and installation and made final payment as per contract agreements. We have addressed all minor issues. Unfortunately, these minor issues arise and do not affect the function of the units installed. we have addressed them all and made the last repairs on all Windows and doors and reviewed with Mr. ******* before painting. Again, we are more than willing to address any issues and stand behind our products and installations 100%. Please let us know when we can come out. Thank you we look forward to resolving this issue and hope we can work together moving forward

    My Response to Company’s Statement:

There were no visible issues at the time installation was completed, which is why I made the final payment. However, within two weeks, problems began to appear—specifically, the exterior sealant shrinking and pulling away from the frames. Since then, I have repeatedly told the company that the only proper fix would be to remove and replace the sealant completely, both from the outside and inside of the windows. While inspecting the inside of my windows last week, I noticed the same black sealant is pulling away from the frames in multiple locations.

I’ve worked in this type of trade for years, and my request has been consistent from day one: correct sealing of my windows using the proper methods and materials. Instead of doing this, the company sprayed excessive amounts of paint over the failed sealant. despite me advising against painting multiple times. On the last visit, no actual repairs to the failed sealant were made, only paint.
I am requesting that all failed sealant be completely removed from both the outside and inside of the windows and properly reapplied using manufacturer-approved materials. In addition, before the new sealant is applied, I expect all window frames to be professionally cleaned and repainted with approved paint, with all scratches properly taken care of during the painting process. Only after this restoration should the new sealant be installed to ensure a proper and lasting finish and seal.

At this point, my trust in this company is very low. I do not believe the work will be addressed correctly, and I expect the owner will continue trying to spend as little as possible to fix the issues. I have also been advised that a no city permit was pulled for this project, even though I am being told there should have been a permit and approval on all materials being used.
