Absolutely Disgraceful and Inhumane Treatment from ******************************* I am appalled at the way ******************** has handled my attempt to make a breast cancer consultation appointment. Upon calling to schedule, I was abruptly told that I had no insurance coverage. This was blatantly false. I immediately contacted my insurance provider, who assured me I am covered 100% for cancer care. They even offered to call Dr. *** billing department directly to clarify the situation. Before that call could even happen, the management team had already made a decision to refuse my referrala decision based on an incorrect assumption about my insurance status. This was done without investigation, without communication, and without the slightest regard for my well-being.Their behavior was unprofessional, biased, and completely dismissive. I was treated like a number on a spreadsheet rather than a human being facing one of the most terrifying and vulnerable experiences of my life. Instead of working with me or my insurance to sort out what was clearly a misunderstanding, they took the easiest path: rejection. What makes this even more appalling is their justificationthat my care would be too expensive. How would they know that? I havent even been seen. There is no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no medical assessment. This level of assumption and disregard is dangerously negligent. If this is how they treat someone simply trying to schedule an appointment, I shudder to think what would happen to a patient deeper in the treatment process. Their callousness speaks volumes, and I believe others deserve to be warned. Compassion, communication, and professionalism should be the baseline in cancer carenot cold, calculated gatekeeping.

They will not treat you if you don't have the money upfront. Even when I have mety deductible they still collected money upfront even though I didn't have to pay. They would NOT refund me immediately only to be told they are waiting on 1 claim to go thru even though 2 other claims went through proving i didn't have to pay. The worst and I mean the worst billing **** especially ******* They need to re evaluate what insurance is and what we are supposed to pay. I'm speaking on behalf of everyone because I'm not the only one. When you're diagnosed with breast cancer and you tell me to go somewhere else and live or die because of financial means but your mission statement is "you're not alone we are here for you" you can shove that up your a** and don't bother with it. You took an oath to help people even in financial hardship but yet you turn people away. There is no price tag on living. I despise the practice of this place and I don't recommend ironwood cancer center to anyone after what the h*** i went through. If u wanna know what happened I have all documents to show u and u can call me. It literally makes me sick to even think about this place. One is for sure is the MA/NURSES are great. Other than that it's down hill from there. I urge people to look at their EOB and don't pay a dime until insurance process claims 1st. *** what their policy is paying upfront, don't do it. You have just as much right as they do to fight your s*** upfront like I did. If they wanna not treat you because of financial means and say you die because it already spread that's on them too. Know your s*** is all I gotta say. Don't let them talk you into something just cuz their drs. It's about money trust me. They gave me 6 months to do my time and in the end I won regardless. They can't guarantee what they do will work as to why i say stay far away. There's better cancer center out there.
