    We stored our RV at Sunshine Storage (now operating as MyPlace Self Storage) in ***************, ** for over 5 years. We paid our July 2025 rent in full on July 1st. Without any warning, we received a voicemail on July 8th from a blocked caller ID stating we had hours to move our RV or it would be towed at our expense.This was our first and only direct communication regarding any lease termination. After digging through our inbox, we discovered a single email dated May 31st stating that if no response was received, our lease would end June 30th. We never saw or replied to this email yet were still charged for July rent, which directly contradicts their own stated terms.When we called to clarify, staff were hostile and dismissive. We heard a supervisor in the background say, If they dont like it, too bad, and the staff member on the phone was equally rude. No consideration was given to the fact that we had received no formal notice. Only after we protested did they allow a few more days, but it still wasnt enough.Our RV had not moved in 5 years and needed prep. Because of the rushed timeline, we were forced to give it away, miss 3 days of work, and endure immense stress. When we asked for a refund, we were told our situation wasnt their problem and were ignored afterward.This business failed to provide proper notice, acted unprofessionally, and charged us for a service they immediately revoked. We are seeking a full refund of $120 for the July rent and believe this businesss behavior was deceptive, unethical, and should be addressed.
