      Valore.com’s eBook return policy is unclear and not properly disclosed at checkout. There was no warning that accessing the digital access code would void any chance of a refund or exchange, even if the product becomes unusable.
      I purchased Revista, 6th Edition for $180, but shortly after, my university confirmed that the required edition was the 7th. As a first-time Valore.com customer and new to eBooks, I wasn’t aware that simply accessing the eBook made the purchase final. No such policy was made obvious before or after the sale.
      To make matters worse, I never received a receipt or access instructions. I had to contact customer service just to confirm my purchase and figure out how to access the eBook. Their only support channel is email, which delayed the resolution process.
      Once I accessed the eBook and realized it was the wrong edition, I immediately reached out again. I requested either a refund or an exchange for the 7th Edition, which is only $100 (compared to the $180 I paid). The representative, Marich C., replied with templated responses, stating nothing could be done because the code had been accessed — offering no alternatives or concern for retaining me as a customer.
      I eventually contacted the publisher directly, and they gave me access to the correct 7th Edition at no cost, proving the issue wasn’t on their end. It was Valore.com’s unwillingness to provide basic customer support or flexibility.
      My Desired Resolution:
      I’m requesting a partial refund, store credit, or compensation to reflect the pricing difference and poor customer service. I also urge Valore.com to update their checkout process to clearly state that accessing an eBook voids all returns, and to improve communication and support for customers.

      Customer Complaint – Incorrect Item Received and Unfair Return Policy
      I placed an order through this vendor for a UX research book. Shortly after completing the purchase, I received an order confirmation for a completely different title: the Merriam-Webster Vocabulary Builder. I immediately contacted customer service to report the issue. I was told they would reach out to the seller to correct the problem.
      Despite this, the wrong book was shipped to me. I contacted customer service again, and was informed that I would be responsible for return shipping—even though the mistake was not mine. The cost to return the item exceeds the cost of the book, making the process unreasonable and unfair to the customer.
      This experience reflects poor order management and inadequate customer service. I am requesting that the company assume responsibility for their fulfillment error and either cover the cost of return shipping or issue a full refund without requiring the item to be returned at my expense.

      I am doctoral student at Oklahoma State University and this is my first experience with Valorebooks. I am a very happy customer for in my first year of program, I've been able to rent ALL of the books I've needed from this website! This is my new favorite site for renting very expensive graduate program books!

      I ordered a book for college. It was not rare, but difficult to find. I was really excited to find this book, when i figured i could find it here in texas where it was written and published. The book was packaged with the ultimate care and arrived in pristine condition. In fact I was so impressed with the packing, I emailed them to praise them for an over the top packing job. I even received a response back from them! I am definitely keeping their website handy for my next semester!

      Very affordable rentals. The books came in great condition and the shipping and returning and straightforward. I rented two books, it cost me less than $40 and the rental periods are very generous.

      I needed a book for a class even though I had access to the online version (eye fatigue makes it difficult to read on a pc screen) The rental book arrived just in time. It was great to be able to rent for a nominal fee.

      Awesome price and amazing customer service. I was able to order my lab kit without issue for a much better price. I was hesitant since it is new to me but am pleasantly surprised. They even send the return label so it’s fuss free.
