  Sparx Crew LLC came to the attention of Better Business Bureau Serving Arkansas in April 2019, when BBB was contacted by the Bentonville Police, due to complaints received by their office. Complaints on file with both the Bentonville Police and BBB state consumers believe they were calling various companies for tech support; such as Frontier Communications, Amazon, Spectrum and Comcast. After calling, consumers are told there is an issue with their computers and are either transferred or given the number to Sparx Crew for technical support. According to one consumer complaint, "I searched the website for Frontier Communications and contacted who I thought was Frontier Communications that I have my phone and internet with and the person I talked to told me I needed to call Sparx Crew LLC to have my security on the computer taken care of. I was still having problems and I called Frontier Communication number on my phone bill and they told me that the Frontier Communications number was got of the website was not their number and that Sparx Crew LLC was a scam."
  
  A letter was sent to the company requesting they explain any affiliations they may have with the above named companies, an explanation as to why consumers are transferred to Sparx Crew, and their process for acquiring new clients.
  
  The company responded as follows:
  "SparxCrew LLC is an independent company and its very clearly mentioned on our website, we are not associated neither we have any affiliation/connections with any other companies like you mentioned."
  
  "Talk about acquiring new customers: We do digital marketing, search engine optimization and advertisements over the internet to acquire new customers. If anyone needs any technology solutions and or assistance related to computers/laptops, we assist them."
  
  The URL for Sparx Crew LLC was created on March 22, 2018 and the contact number found on the company's website is (877) 827-6222. During our investigation, BBB found similarities to two other tech support companies. The similarities being the creation of their websites, which occurred within six (6) months of Sparx Crew and the last three digits of their contact numbers ending in "222". BBB asked the company what connection, if any, it has with these companies. The business did not provide an answer.
  
  If you believe you have engaged and paid for questionable tech support, BBB recommends the following:
  
  Uninstall applications that tech support person have asked you to install
  
  Consider resetting your PC
  
  Run a full scan with your antivirus software to remove any malware
  
  Apply all security updates as soon as available
  
  Change you passwords
  
  Call you credit card provider to reverse the charges, if you have already paid.
