In April, 2024, Matthew Mack towed my vehicle to his shop to assess repairs needed. I was told my motor need replacing. I agreed and paid him $4,223.48 on May 6, 2024. When I went to pick up my vehicle on July 11, 2024, he informed me I owed an additional $1,845.35 due to parts needed for the new motor. I paid him cash and took my car. About a week later I took my car back because my car would not pull or accelerate. I was told I needed new knock sensors in the motor. I then purchased the knock sensor from ******** **** ***** and returned to him to install which cost me an extra $200.
Since these repairs, the engine leaks oil and I’m constantly adding oil to my car. I’m having to put oil in weekly. My driveway is a mess with oil stains. Also, my car is making a bad popping noise on the right side. I’ve contacted Mr. Mack on several occasions about the oil and engine noises. I have not driven car since oil light comes on. He told me to drive car to his shop, but I preferred him to tow the car. He no longer answers my calls.
I’ve spent over $6,000 on a car repair from this shop for an engine that is warranted for 3 years that the owner is not honoring.

To whom this may concern, We at Macks Auto Repair replaced engine in a 2008 ***** *******, Customer *** ********, with engine that has a 3-year warranty. Customers made complaints of oil leaks months later, that she hasn't returned back to Mack's Auto Repair to have complaint inspected. We've spoken to the customer several times, asking to return the car to perform inspection, but she has yet to bring the vehicle to assess the complaint in order to determine warranty protocol.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Matthew Mack keeps telling me to drive the car back to his shop when the oil light is on and I have broke down on the side of the road before.  He refuse to have the car towed back to his shop.  I don't have any more money to pay to have my car towed back there. My last text message to him was on Nov. 5, 2024 letting him know my car is still leaking oil and I'm unable to drive my car. Mr. Mack's response was It's my *** fault he told me to bring the car  to the shop. I do have these text messages saved.

    Sincerely,
    *** ********
