Bayview/ Alta Pointe in ********* ******* Phone number ************ ******************************************* ******** ** I made and appointment and went in. After I paid my $25 fee they told me they could not see me. I walked out but forgot to get my refund. I've been calling about my refund for weeks many many times. Everytime I call they say they will call me back about getting my money. They never call, they never send my money. Im indigent and disabled. These people are thieves and this is not the first time they have done things like this to people in need. On 3/30/2022 I called about a prescription refill. My call was returned the next day letting me know the Rx would be ready for pickup on 4/5/2022. On 4/1/2022 I called again to confirm the medicine had been called in. I was again told it was and would be ready 4/5/2022. On 4/4/2022 I got a call from my pharmacy stating it would be ready for pickup on 4/5, but the medication dosage was wrong. I called Bayview back and left a message for the nurse letting her know. She called me back and said she would get the right dosage called in and promised me it would be ready for pickup 4/5. Today is 4/5 so I called my pharmacy. They have ZERO prescriptions for me, NOTHING has been called in. I yet again call Bayview and have to leave another message. This time a different nurse calls me and tells me the Rx was never called in because the previous nurse had sent it to a provider than no longer works there!!! She tells me she will get a different provider to sign off on it and send it in, yet THAT dr is not in today. (Wow.) She says the dr will check their email and handle Rx refills possibly at lunch, possibly at the end of the day. So now it's been 6 days since I originally called about this, and here I am without the medication I'm required to take daily for my mental health issue. And no real answer as to when I'll have it. Could be later today, or it could be tomorrow. This practice cares NOTHING about its patients. If this was the first, second, third, or 6th time this has happened to me over the last 2 years I probably wouldn't bother to write this. But it happens EVERY TIME I AM DUE FOR A REFILL. If I was diabetic, had cancer, blood issues, or any other health related problem that required daily medication this would not be happening. They treat everyone without dignity and respect and care NOTHING about those suffering with mental health issues. A day or two of missed medication is an "oh well" in their eyes. I am sick of this place and they should be ashamed.Business response

I saw one of the psychiatrist on 2/9/22 and after my apmnt asked if he could fill out my short term disability paperwork due to the fact that I am a mental patient. The dr refused to sign it and now I'm in danger of losing my job of over 26 yrs.I can't see how this can possibly help a mental patient. We go to these drs for help not hinderance. That's all I'm seeking in order for my employer to pay me the money that's due to me.Business response

AltaPointe Health provides disability assistance once a person is an established patient and an agreement between patient and provider is made that short-term disability (STD) will be part of the treatment plan or treatment goal. If short-term disability as a goal is indicated during the initial screening with AltaPointe's Access to Care (ATC) team and the person is not an established patient, ATC refers the person back to their treating physician for help. AltaPointe did not deny the completion of the STD paperwork. Our provider needed time to establish short-term disability as part of the treatment plan. However, the complainant canceled the follow-up appointment with our provider, where it could have been discussed further. He did not explain that to me and point blank said "We don't do that here." Also, there was another lady that came in and I even asked her and she said "No. we don't do that here." I also asked my therapist why he refused to sign off and she said "Some doctors just don't like filling out the paperwork" but she was willing to however Sedgwick requires a psychiatrist to fill it out. I have honestly never known a dr to refuse like he did. The only reason I cancelled the apmnt is because he was very rude when I emailed him asking him again if he would sign off. I couldn't believe a dr would speak to a patient like he did. Very rude!!!! Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/04/06) */ Thank you for the additional information regarding your visit to BayView Professional Associates. Our notes indicate that the patient made this appointment to complete her Short-Term Disability paperwork. However, that was not made aware to the Access To Care team, who took the initial call and scheduled an appointment with BayView. Had ATC known, a specialist would have discussed with the patient to talk with their primary care physician first. We would have only consented to complete the STD forms after establishing a relationship with the patient and concurring that they could not return to work due to a psychiatric condition. This patient only received three services with our clinic, including intake, one therapy session, and psych evaluation. That is not sufficient time to determine the patient's STD eligibility, and it would be unlikely that we would have completed the forms. The patient canceled follow-up appointments.
