I started the build process with Red Door Homes in November of 2020. There were several delays on their end after signing the contract and getting my paperwork in order that they said needed done ASAP. There were several issues that I had to argue with them about from the beginning not limited to foundation piers were not installed properly, my windows were not taped per the instructions, etc. I would not have known these things if I did not have the experience of building and repairing myself. I caught several issues along the way and even fixed some of them myself. My house was signed over to me in May of 2022. I was given guarantees for finishing my home like an attic access ladder for my garage, several items on my final walkthrough paperwork, and a 1 year warranty for which is outlined in their warranty documents. They have completed some of the work after months of fighting them back and forth but have failed to complete or repair several issues. They lost my final walkthrough paperwork and are refusing to look at the items that were on it and repair/replace those. They are refusing to fix my subfloor even after they have been shown that it is the product or installation that caused it. They want to just cover water damage under the sink instead of replacing the piece that is damaged. The promised me for over a year that they would install an attic access ladder in my garage, which I paid for at design, and not state that they will not do it and just refund my money. I have a hole in the ceiling of my garage where the ladder is supposed to go and they framed it out but just refuse to complete the job. I have bows in the walls that were supposed to be fixed. I have a dining room light missing parts. I have granite countertops that were not cut straight and was told that they would fix but never even had someone else come look at them.I paid good money for this house and just want a completed home without defects that their paperwork guarantees to fix.
