**** ****** who is in charge of Landscaping, and ree cutting service here in **********. Is a *****, a liar that I allowed to come do some work on my place over on ************************************* here in ********** last year to remove trees, and tree stumps. He did remove trees, but he did not come back, impile up the tree limb debris that was scattered over two acres of my property as well as he didn't come back and remove the free tree.stumos he agreed on that was still left on my property that stretches over 2 and 1/2 acres of 7 acres that belong to me off of ****************************** in **********, A L before I hired him I didn't know that he had a f rating from the BBB as well as he wasn't supposed to do any type of landscaping or tree cutting at the time. Because if I had known I wouldn't have hired him. We did have a sign contract that was orchestrated between the two of us to do the workout described in my complaint. And he never would return to finish the work so I had to hire a guy to finish the work that cost me approximately $3,500 along with the receipts that put here in place that I had to pay other workers that he refused to pay after doing work that he had hired to come on the job to complete grounding down of the stumps that he didn't come back to grind down as well as I had to pay for the cleaning up a moving the debris of limbs in piles that he was supposed to get paid men that he had brought to my property to do the work but he left them without paying them so I wind up paying them to complete the work. Please help me if you're able to recover just $2,400 of what I'm asking. Which it should be much higher because it actually made me lose approximately $6,000 because of work that he chose not to do, nor come back to continue to do a workout to be done.Initial Complaint

Thursday March 7, 2024 A fellow came by wanting to cut down my trees and I thought about his offer of 7,00K$, he finally got it down to 5,500$. I thought about it and figured those dead trees did need to come down. Okay. He said hed be here at 8:30 tomorrow. And indeed he was with a lot of men who proceeded to cut down the tree in the back and then moving on to the one on the north side the one that I was afraid might fall on my house or the neighbors house. Both trees were rotten to the core.He had not cut down the entire tree in the back. I asked why and he said he left it for the birds. I told him the birds like the high branches, and there were no branches just a very tall *****. He told me theyd come back in the morning to take care of that, but would cost me to have them do that. (Why? Id paid him to take down both trees.) Meanwhile,. They piled all the tree-parts across the street. I asked him why and he told me that the big claw that would be used to pick them up and haul them away needed to not be under the electric lines that were on my side of the street. He wanted his money right away and I told him I was having it transferred and it would not be in my account until Tuesday or Wednesday. He insisted he needed the money to pay his men. I said to him, Dont you have any money in your account? When we made the deal I told him I would have to pay him with a credit card. He seemed to say that would be fine. Then today he told me hed left his card reader at another job, a job where he had to leave all his stuff there. (I have to wonder now I he even had a card reader.) But, he told me, I could go to the bank and get a cashiers check by giving the bank my credit card. I thought about it and went to the bank. ***** ****** refused to let that happen. I came home and told ****. I did have money in my checking account and wrote him a check for $1500. He would have to wait for the other money to hit the bank. The fellows name: ********************* at least that was the name he gave me.The company name: ****** Tree Service ************ cell: ************ Sunday March 10, 2024 I just checked out the backyard. What a mess. Large holes where the tree parts came down. And I am still wondering why he didnt have the entire dead tree cut down. I have a feeling he wont be around today to pick up the tree parts. I think hes going to wait until the check clears. I mean, it is already after 3 PM - I will take pictures to add to this file.Wednesday March 13, 2024 It has been a nerve wracking morning for me, waiting for the money to drop into my account. The 4k$ cheque has already been cashed. Now for the 1,500$. This afternoon **** (the tree man) called and he was at a cheque cashing place and the fellow there wanted to talk with me. He would call me back. I said okay. He called and after asking my name, wanted to know the cheque number. I told him after checking and also gave him the amount. Okay. The big check was cashed earlier in the day.Thursday March 14, 2024 I called ****, the tree guy, and thanked him for being understanding about the money transfer. Then I asked why he hadnt cut down the tree in the back. He thought the birds would like it. I explained they tend to perch on those higher branches which are no longer there. I told him the birds are now perching on the trees next door, looking longingly at where they used to live. He said hed be by this afternoon, before the truck arrives to take away the large tree parts (my words), so he can get them out to the curb with the rest.I knew they wouldnt come on Friday because it was supposed to rain all day.Sunday March 17, 2024 I finally called **** (tree guy) this afternoon. I got the boss, ***************************, who told me **** had been fired. I verified Id paid him and he had said theyd come to finish cutting down the tree in the back yard, plus he had someone to haul away the tree parts. I told her the dates and amounts of the cheques. After a short time, she said shed have someone here at 8:00 in the morning.Sure am glad I called.Monday March 18, 2024 Slept poorly, worried about being up early enough for the tree folks. It is now 10:45 and they havent shown up. I did call a few minutes ago and left a message asking when could I expect them.It is 2:30 and I have left 3 messages for *************************** tree company owner and have no reply. See notes in file folder. Call times: 3/17 6:36PM when ***** told me **** had been fired. Called again at 10:24 no answer, so Ileft a message. 3/18 10:24. 12:42 I tried the cell and left a message. Then called the business # and left a message there.I figure they had caller ID and seeing it was me, they didnt answer either phone.Tuesday March 19, 2024 Well, I got taken. When I got up and opened the blinds in the livingroom, I saw the city trucks outside. I motioned for them to come over. He was asking why the tree parts were piled up across the street. I explained. *****, the younger, saw them too and came over. The suggestions were I call the BBB; ***** will call his friend, who has a friend (?) to see what can be done. When I talked with ********************** he said to call the police and tell them you were robbed and explain how they may/will issue an arrest warrant. If nothing else, go to Channel 48 and tell them about it. I am waiting to speak with ***** (the younger) to see what he has done and what he thinks of an arrest warrant.Wednesday March 20, 2024 I finally read the notice the city left regarding my wood pile. it will cost me $360 and will be picked up next ********************* that it will be gone but not so good that ****** company will not be the ones picking it up. It seems I will have to pay twice for have the wood removed.Wednesday March 27, 2024 ************************* came by and told me the man from the city had been out yesterday, but since I was not home, he spoke with *****. Told him it needed to be picked up or they would charge me on my next utility bill. ***** called the son of ********************* and read him the riot act. The son told him their truck needed repair. ***** said he would call the BBB. ***** told me to call my bank (***** Fargo). I did and they took a report, giving me a claim number, but also advised me to call the police. See notes in file.I am hoping this information will help others not to be taken as I was. Poor business practices.Customer Answer
