Note: Aardvark Construction is an UNLICENSED contractor in the ***************.I hired Aardvark Construction to replace the windows and sliding glass door in my home upon recommendation from someone in my homeowner's association, but the work they performed was of poor quality and they were never on time.They installed the most visible window in my entire home so crookedly (due to ***** work and a clear lack of the ability to critically think to address a unique installation) that I had to remove it and reinstall it myself, and it now slides more easily than any other in the house. The rest of their work also left much to be desired: their painting was patchy or incomplete, their siding repairs were not fully fastened nor did they extend the full height of the area they were meant to cover, and they chose the knottiest most unattractive board for the railing on my deck.They also were terrible at time management, constantly forgot tools they needed to complete the job so were always running off site, did not show up on time, and even bailed after saying they would work on my project some days.When I brought up my dissatisfaction, all I got were excuses, complaints about my project overseer hovering too much to check on their work, and demands for payment. I did not wish to pay them the full amount of their **** based on the unacceptable quality of their work, and when I informed them of this, they were excessively rude and interrupted me, called me a liar, and tried to coerce me by threatening to take me to small claims court...so I did some research, and it turns out they are not a licensed contractor in the ***************. Their general contractor license expired in December 2020, and so at no time during which I had dealings with them (from quote to site work) were they legally allowed to quote jobs or perform any contracting work.In summary, do NOT hire Aardvark Construction.
