      On 06/24/2025 I have made the reservation with Alaska 4x4 Rentals. My pick up date was scheduled for 08/21/2025. I have received an email confirmation from the business.On 08/18/2025 I have received an email from the company advising me that the reservation will not be honored. Because I was unable to book a different vehicle at a reasonable cost on such a short notice, I was forced to cancel the trip and lose funds I paid for non-refundable activities

At the time, I was told I would receive a refund of $224.95, and that the return process was complete.Prior to the vehicle return, the company had been responsive via phone and text. However, since July 10, they have stopped answering all calls and messages, and I have not received my refund. It is now July 25, and I have made multiple attempts to contact the business with no success.I am requesting that Silver Dollar Rent a Car/ Alaska 4x4 Car Rental immediately issue the $224.95 refund owed to me and resume communication regarding this matter. Their current behavior is unacceptable and lacks accountability.Desired Outcome: Full refund of $224.95 Written confirmation that the issue has been resolved I am submitting this complaint in hopes that the BBB can help resolve the matter, as the business has not responded to me directly.

      Dear officer,I am writing to provide information regarding the unexpected cancellation of my confirmed vehicle reservation with Alaska 4x4 Rentals. This cancellation has caused significant disruption and financial loss to my travel plans.On JULY 19TH 00:00, I successfully made a reservation through their official website and received confirmation with the following details:Reservation Number: ****** Vehicle Type Reserved: Premium SUV Rental Dates: July 23 to July 26 Pickup Location: ***************** Alaska 4x4 Rentals Following this confirmed booking, I proceeded to purchase 6 non-refundable flights, book hotels, and finalize my itinerary based on that the rental vehicle would be available as promised. However, on July 19th 11:44PM, I was informed by their team that the reservation was canceled due to a glitch in the system and that no vehicle would be available. I called them and they just say sorry, and did not provide me any alternative ********** a result of their cancellation, I have incurred the following estimated damages, because I could not make the trip as there is none car rental availability with other companies given it's super popular in ********* at this time:[$3055.4] for non-refundable flights [$4170] for non-refundable tour packages (3 people, $1390/person)[$682] for ****** fees with no refund on cancellation There is no alternative last-minute vehicle rental or transportation arrangements available for me to book, since I have three kids and four adults, and 7 capacity rental cars are not available after careful searching.Moreover, I found that their website still shows there are availability of the vehicles, and are bookable still. If their system has problem, why didn't they remove from their website, or stop the website service, so that less people would be misled and suffer such a big loss.Thank you a million for processing my case, and wish you all the best!
